“On route to NC, I ran over something on 81 that sliced my tire. Stranded, waiting for AAA for over an hour, VDOT arrived, then contacted VSP and your Towing Co.
Immediately your Driver JASON arrived.
He immediately put us in the rollback and proceeded to take us to nearest Walmart for new tire. None in stock, from there to Firestone, none in stock, he graciously proceeded to Mr. Tire. Jason would not leave 2 senior ladies until he guaranteed a tire for us! We secured tire and install while he waited with us.
This young man was a Godsend to us. Being from Delaware, we had no idea what or where to get back on the road!

“Last night my van stalled on 419 in Roanoke. I drifted onto a side street but was blocking traffic. I had no power. It was raining. I have had AAA travel insurance for many years. I called for roadside assistance and also called Roanoke County police. The officer was very helpful. AAA estimated an extensive response time & said someone would call me back. No one did. The officer called Fat Boys tow service. They came in a reasonable time. Shane was the gentleman who was able to tow my van to nearby Firestone. He was also able to restore power enough for me to put the window up , secure the belongings I needed & lock it. Shane then waited for me to complete the info & drop the key & for my daughter to provide me a ride home. He was so very helpful and professional. “Hughes transport rescued me on I81 on my way to Tennessee and was on scene in less than 30 minutes to load my broken cargo trailer on to a flat bed to the shop. They fixed the wheel hub in one day and didn’t bend me over with the bill. I especially want to thank Mike the tow truck driver and the Hughes team for rescuing a retired Coast Guard guy and his wife in a dire situation!”

“This location was very good. The location on Melrose needs a staff change. I pulled into the lot they had half blocked with a trailer and their employee was honking her horn at me me while sitting in her car smoking. Really? Work for me? Not ever! I rolled my window down and she said. Go back where you came from. I said what? She repeated. I said, I have propane tanks to fill she said, they don't work. I don't argue with bad attitude employees. I just don't go back. She was not worth what I would say t8 her about her actions. The young man on Hershberger, complete opposite. He was dealing with less than respectful customers, and handled it well. I do recommend the Hershberger location.”
