“I was nervous at first because it took me 6 months to make my initial appointment, and I was only able to do so after my insurance changed (they do not accept Aetna for new patients, and no longer accept United health care). Little did I understand how grateful I would be for this office until I caught COVID-19 for the first time. Stefanie Jennings (FNP-C) has been a lynchpin in my care, and I put my full trust in her recommendations. When my symptoms veered into Long COVID and POTS territory, I came loaded with diaries of my heart rates and dozens of articles and research. She was familiar with every new piece of research I brought, and crafted a unique treatment plan for me that helped transform my wellness. Are the wait times long? Sometimes. Is it hard to get an appointment? Occasionally. Do I recommend this practice and this doctor? Absolutely yes and to everyone I know. Every doctor I have spoken to in this practice (I've met them all) actually listens, asks deeply inquisitive questions, and 100% goes the extra mile to ensure the best possible care. Given their functional medicine orientation they excel at treating complex conditions like fibromyalgia, dysautonomia, SIBO, POTS, long covid, and countless others. They are one of the only functional medicine practices in the greater DMV to accept insurance. The affordability and accessibility of their care (they offer virtual visits too!) cannot be more emphasized. Because they take insurance, unlike most functional medicine practices, you may need to schedule appointments with greater frequency because they limit the number of issues to tackle per appointment to 3 (about 20-30 minutes). However they keep this model for OUR benefit. It makes the practice affordable because it allows their appointments to align to health insurance expectations, and they are still highly consultative in the process. “My husband and I have been going to Dr T for 10 years now - wow, time flies! We lived in Falls Church and then moved to DC in 2013 and we still go to Dr T even though there are Doctors closer to us in DC. We like him and his office that much. He is a great doctor and always detailed and complete with us. He is also adapted telehealth appointments which has made things easier. Also, his nursing team is great - if you are scared of needles - don't be at his office as they are all pro's and you barely, if you even do, feel a thing during blood draws and injections! He and his office are all very LGBT friendly and he is very conscientious of LGBT Health. My husband and I appreciate this and are more than comfortable in coming to his office. I would highly recommend Dr. T and his office for members of the LGBTQ+ community. Just recently, he no longer took our insurance and we switched during open enrollment to continue to be his patients. Dr. T is a great primary care physician and I hope that you and your family would consider him for your internal/primary care”

“I've been coming to this practice for about 10 years. The doctors and all the medical staff are professional and I never feel rushed. I rarely wait more than 5 minutes to be called back, or to see the doctor. Doctors are responsive to questions and concerns that I submit through the MyChart portal. Earlier this year I had a cancer scare - a suspicious mammogram finding. A biopsy showed the tumor to be benign thankfully. Throughout the process my doctor was proactive in reaching out to make sure my questions were answered and that I understood what my options were. I highly recommend this practice.”

My whole family comes here and Dr. Lee and Dr. Troung has been taking care of us exceptionally. Yes, some days you will leave with just bloodwork done (as others say). And yes, they will refer you to a specialist when they want a specialized opinion. They aren’t doctors who are just going to prescribe you or give you medications you don’t need. They like to observe what’s going on and do proper rule outs. They know when something is a red flag and will address it immediately.This is a good practice to stay long term because they will take the time to get to know you well.”

“I 100% recommend VMA. As a new patient I felt comfortable and very welcomed by the staff. I was able to book an appointment over the phone, and they had availability that same week. The day of my appointment, their computers were down as they were in the middle of switching operating systems, but even with that happening/having to hand write everything, the flow of my visit was seamless. My nurse (Ingrid), and PA-C (Audrey Keen), were both very kind and welcoming. Wait time was minimal, I'd say between 10-15 minutes (it is a doctors office after all, so I thought that wait time was exceptional!) but they still apologized for any delay. The office was clean and masks are now optional. Overall, I had a great experience.”

“This was my first time going in for in annual since 2017 and I was nervous due to being larger and previous negative experience but this office made me feel so at ease! I completed all my check in documents 2 days before and provided my ID and insurance so all the front desk did was verify I had them with me. I only waited about 5 mins before being taken back for my vitals, all done very efficiently and waited 10 mins for Dr. Hegde who was the star of my amazing experience. He immediately made me feel at ease, was very respectful and polite, constantly checking in with me and making sure I was informed of everything being done. Bloodwork was quick and easy, and I was in and out of the office in an hour! I will definitely be coming again, and will definitely make Dr. Hegde my PCP ?”

“If you don't have insurance and will be covering the cost of your visit out-of-pocket Dr. Zia is the one to see! I’m privately employed and currently without health insurance, and Dr. Zia has been such a caring doctor! Not just nice, but you can tell he sacrifices a lot to make sure people who struggle to afford healthcare (like me) can be treated at an affordable price. Like waaaaay more affordable (half of what other doctors in the area charge as of Sept. 2018)! He is kind, asks questions, has a vest of different cell phones to keep track of everything and he’s always super busy. I don’t speak Spanish, and the clinic is geared towards this, but it’s totally fine, the staff speaks English too, and they’ve always been knowledgeable and friendly - plus I like watching the Spanish soap operas in the waiting room and trying to guess what they’re saying by the dramatic music and body language :)The receptionist told me the practice is open for walk-in patients as well, so you don't necessarily need an appointment, but it's a good idea to have one because they’re usually busy unless you get there early in the morning. I’ve waited up to 2.5 hours on a Saturday (it was flu season). The waiting is never an issue for me, because it’s the care and the very low cost that make it busy - and that should be understood. They don’t allow scheduling appointments on Saturday’s, it’s walk-in’s only.”

“I want to start off by saying I had a very negative attitude about seeing my doctor because I’ve never had great care. Dr Balcha changed my attitude. He was very kind and considerate. He listened to my concerns and seemed to genuinely want to help. I was also impressed with Amanda the phlebotomist. She had a positive attitude and made the blood draw quick and as painless as a blood draw can be. I recommend this facility for sure. I gave four stars because, although the service was great, I had to wait for an extended amount of time before being called back to the examination room. They could definitely improve on wait times.”

“I went to LMG Primary & Immediate Care Center this morning (Sunday) around 9:15. I was seen for my vitals within 5 minutes and the nurse practitioner saw me within 10 minutes. Her name is Maite'.
