“This is a very nice Kroger and so spacious! It is just as nice as the one at Westlake, but merchandise seems a little less plentiful. Aisles are wide and everything seemed neat. The environment seemed relaxed. There were at least 4 cashiers working and no real long lines. Customer service desk was very attentive and caring. Everyone I talked to was friendly and tried to help. I plan to shop more here when I am in the area.”
“Good variety of different Asian foods Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc. This place was extremely clean and organized and the owner is so friendly. Dry goods, frozen/ refrigerated goods as well as produce available. We will be back.”
“This place has the best hotdogs in Roanoke. I'm not much of a hotdog person but there are now 2 places I will get a hotdog from. I'm so glad I don't have to go all the way to Christiansburg for a hotdog now”
“We are from out of state where there are no Food lions. Can't believe it took so long to start shopping here. Prices are better than Lroger or Walmart. Meat and produce is much better as well!”
“I used to frequent this place when I was employed with walmart between 2015 to 2026. I dont come into here all the time nowadays unfortunately due to losing my car and the walmart job, but I used to occasionally get a bit of a hankering for sushi as it takes me back to when I had the freshest, silkiest, buttery Fatty Tuna sushi (大トロ, ootoro) from the Tsukiji Fish Market (築地市場, Tsukiji shijou) in my trip to Japan in 2017. With Fresh Market's quality for it's selection of sushi products, I've been mostly buying salmon and tuna sushi since those are my favorite types of fish. I've also been able to enjoy every purchase of sushi without sustaining any health issues or food poisoning. The only potential issue is the pricing but the quality redeems the price in my personal opinion. I know, I could rave about the sushi all day but I also want to give Fresh Market credit for it's selection of candy, non alcoholic drinks like the the Oi ocha green tea and cold brewed black coffee and the Pur brand peppermint gum. The staff working at this location also were clean, well groomed, presentable, and professional on top of having such a hospitable, welcoming personality.”
“You have got to go here! Every time that time lapses and I don't go there when I finally do I'm always blown away by the prices and the quality. It's amazing”
“Love this Kroger. We have one much closer to our house, but we would rather shop at this Kroger. It certainly has much more than the other Krogers close to us many items and departments. It is more up scale, and I feel like we are in a big city.”
“Good club retail where you can find most of your favorite brands at bulk discount prices verses Walmart. Usually very busy and hard to check out in the lines. Scan and go on the Sam’s Club App is a faster method and lets you check out and leave faster. Cafe is now only order through app which is convenient but difficult if you are relying on a phone device. Good location. Parking can be hard to get a close spot though. Overall a good experience.”
“Since my move to this area, this has been my main grocery store. With the quickness you can run in-and-out if needing just a few items. If you're there for your weekly shopping trip and have the time, relax, look around, have have a good assortment of just about everything. The Walmart Associates are very helpful and kind; armed with that Zebra, they can tell you exactly where it is, that you are looking for. Their prices are reasonable, and the broadcasted music they play, isn't bad either.”
“I have been going here for years, and am very happy with the prices and the ability to find what I am looking for! Femi and the Pharmacy staff are great, as well!”
“I love this location (Lakeside, Salem VA). It is clean and well organized. Employees are helpful and friendly. I look forward mostly to seeing Rachel. She is so helpful, knowledgable and kind. She was the first friendly face I met there 30 years ago, and has never wavered. ?”
Walmart just launched Realm, its new 3D online shopping platform. To help you visualize what that means, imagine a virtual mall packed with bright colors, wacky landscapes, and cartoon avatars wandering around. Realm lets you browse "digital doubles" of real Walmart products by navigating through several make-believe worlds. "We believe this is the future of commerce," said Justin Breton, who leads brand experiences at Walmart. "It won't replace our website or app, but will complement them."
