We stopped by St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church during our vacation in Virginia Beach, as it’s affiliated with our home parish. It’s a large and impressive church with a peaceful, welcoming feel. I only wish I had taken more photos during our visit, but at the time, I hadn’t planned on writing a review. Still, I’m glad we made the time to stop in for a quiet moment of reflection.”
“Literally found this church on google and fell in love! Teaches biblical principles and how to actually live a life that is pleasing to God and not flesh! Also, my first Sunday there every one greeted me with a smile and a hug. Definitely worth visiting!❤️✨”
“(Im a 14 year old mind this) I have been a member of this church since I was born, I've been baptized, confirmed here, i have been accepted as who I am, I have seen and met many different pastors here with in the past 14 years, I have seen changes, I have found myself at home here, the new pastor is someone we have had since just before Covid-19 started, he has made many changes, the younger kids love him, he is always cheerful and respectful of everyone, he has welcomed new traditions at our church to celebrate nationalities, we now have an event we do once every year that highlights the Norwegians, me and my mom grew very fond of this since we are Norwegian and love this. I am proud of being a member of ELC and have grown confident of myself, I had a time of doubt in God before, and ELC has switched that around for me. My father used to attend this church but stopped, he still loved this church and recently got married there (just yesterday, April 26th,2024) and that just shows that everyone who has attended this church is a family, loved for who they are, everyone is so supportive, you can be transgender and they will still love you, you can be diagnosed with depression and they will be there with you for every step you take, when a member passes away or goes on deployment or is out of town, we pray for them, we praise them, we talk good things for them, we celebrate every members birthday, I would love to see more people become members of our church, and if you come on mothers day of 2024, you could get a chance to see me and my mother play a beautiful flute duet during service, and yes, our church welcomes everyone and anyone at all times. God bless everyone with wealth in health and a stable home and living, Amen.”

(Completed October 2022) Friendly and welcoming Roman Cathoic parish with dynamic liturgies, social and educational activities for all ages, a highly active social justice ministry, music ministry, many family activities, and many children in a well-run Christian formation program. Masses are 5:30 Sat., 8:15 and 11 a.m. Sundays.”

“I was visiting the area with my family and went to Mass on a Saturday evening. Our experience was amazing! The music just carried us away, and the community was caring and friendly.I brought our own GF host but was approached shortly after by a wonderful lady in the Parish. She explained that they could provide us with a low gluten host if we visited again, so we wouldn't have to worry about it.We all felt so welcomed and cared for.This is a wonderful Parish!”
