“You got kids, of any school-age? Small budget for “back to school” needs & wants? Looking to get quality at a low-cost and not compromise on beauty or style??? ?#CHKDThriftStoresBenefiting The Children’s Hospital (charitable cause for “The King’s Daughters”) good buys found here will see you save, save, and save even more! Really, for all the thrifting I personally do? The prices here are some of the lowest on the East Coast! ?????And unlike many lesser-known thrift stores outside the usual mainstream, verily everything my family and I found here was high quality, perfectly usable all around, and many items still “new in box”!The truly amazing reasons to shop at these thrifts and second-hand stores also include the high-impact environmental savings (less into the landfill; a kind of “purposeful recycling”) as well as for the betterment of our National Security — much of what Americans purchase is made overseas and shipped to us. Buying “reusable” saves our resources on many levels, and thusly our free society, too! ??{Nice to meet Ms. Carissa at the checkout counter today. Much appreciated the quick chat to answer my many questions, young lady. Be blessed in all you do! ??????}”
“I purchase a ton of items here for my non profit. The store is clean and organized. The manager at this one is present and friendly. I only donate to this one. The prices are reasonable and check the colors of the day for half off.”
“Leaving a review to let everyone know, this is not open to the public it is on a closed Navy base. I had this place recommended to me by several people for uniform shopping, and since the other thrift store in the area that carried uniforms was closed on Saturday I thought this would be a great place to stop by. However turns out that the reviews that are mentioning that this is open to the public are not telling the truth, and you have to know someone who has a military ID or have a military ID yourself to access it. Thankfully the people who worked at the base gate or super sweet about it, so thank you so much for being so understanding!”
“Before things go into our trash and city dumps loads of stuff off at the Goodwill. This gives people the chance to find those hidden treasures. Unlike traditional thrift stores that are becoming more expensive and unfair in the handling of items for second hand . This gives a different option with prices that are equal no matter the name on the item . Tables are filled with different items example household , toys , books , shoes , purses . Basic items. . with stable prices that don't change . Or exceed the value of second hand things .
I didn't see any big items furniture jewelry vacuums bikes ect . I do think that most of those are purged before coming to Goodwill.
If you have kids and looking for an affordable price that won't change . Clothes are by weight shoes by pair books per book. Household by weight .
The second. Hand stores over the past few years have turned them into major profits and forgetting the reason for the store. To help prevent trash . To help people afford things they might not otherwise be able too,and to give back . Those things are lost to a time that put others needs over profit and gain .
My only concern is if clothes are by weight it doesn't take much to get a single pound of clothing . I just found this place and will be exploring more and update my review as it fits”
“Best thrift store around!!! Absolutely love this thrift store. Employees are so nice and delightful to have a chat with while checking out. Selection is huge with really nice finds. I’ve never been disappointed while shopping here. I wish I could give more than 5 stars”
“Stopped in last week to check out the new ownership… Complete 180 of the previous owners. Staff was friendly, helpful, and a true pleasure! They knew we were interested in an item at the time we didn’t have the funds- they informed us of their specials the following day- needless to say we went back got our item and a few more. It’s a fresh of breath air and me & mine will be back ♥️”
“Easy drop off experience, friendly staff. Organized inside, but dressing rooms are very dirty, even within an hour after opening. Wish they were vacuumed. It turned me away from trying clothes on.”

“Gentlemen at the Donation Receiving area were so friendly and helpful while getting some large boxes of stuff out of my car. Made getting rid of things a little easier :)
I'm sure the store is great too, but I'll have to check it out at another time considering I just got rid of half my house lol”
“I love going to this thrift store it is my absolute favorite. All the customer service people there are always very pleasant and very helpful and cheerful never had any problems with any of the staff and they go above and beyond their call to make sure you had a good shopping experience I definitely would recommend if you like thrift and you definitely need to go into this one”
“I love going here ! what makes them different is the staff they love to interact with me they know me my name. I usually try to stop here every day after work to see if I’ve missed anything or if anything new has came in. I only donate to this place because they definitely have my heart ,I have three children and I can almost always find something for them here and as a Holiday person they have something for every holiday when Halloween came around they had a whole aisle full Halloween costumes. When Christmas comes around they have a whole aisle dedicated to Christmas but they also have a whole window display of Christmas stuff year round I love this all the other thrift stores shoot their prices through the roof just to get money back on items that don’t have any life left like shoes that look disgusting. This place doesn’t do that. One thing that I would change about this place is we need more Graphic tees And I know that comes with the people dropping off, but I’m sure they can make it happen. They make everything else happen. Thanks again for being my number one spot. Sincerely your number one customer”
“This is my number one for nice name brand clothing. They always have great stuff, easy to shop threw and I can normally walk out with spending under twenty bucks that would be atheist 150.00 at any given walmart.”
“Went to a few different goodwills today and this one was by far the nicest one, everything looked clean and organized and put together nicely as well as the workers were very helpful and cheerful. Best goodwill experience by far!”
“Have to add my 2 cents to counter and some of the negative reviews. I shopped this store at least weekly during a major home renovation. I got high quality kitchen cabinets, a bathtub and surround, range, dishwasher, and countless smaller items at fantastic prices. The staff got to recognizing me and offered me additional assistance with pricing and loading items. They go above and beyond and are doing a really important function in society, helping us reuse furniture and building supplies that would otherwise end up in the dump, and saving us money in the process. If you are in need of renovation or housing materials, go there, take your time, bring a tape measure and gloves. You never know what you're going to find.”
“Pretty well organized selection. Mostly clothes, but their books & other media stuffs selection. Not really much furniture. Recommend going on a sale day. Their regular prices on clothes seemed a bit high (but it seems that's just what thrift stores do now) Not sure how often they mark it down.”
“This is a very good thrift store. It's organized and clean and they often have very good finds. Usually they have less furniture but more clothes and books.”
“I had some great stuff that I wanted to give to the thrift store to take off of my hands that we're in great condition and I would rather they be resold than thrown in the trash. I gave them some heavy duty stoneware dark green with blue trim dishes/bowls. An individual smoothy/shake machine for like a dorm. A blender, salt & pepper shakers just good items that were not being used any more. They took everything from me which was great to see someone else be able to buy it at a lower cost and enjoy the items. Thanks for repurposing the items. Kim”
“One of the best thrift stores. I have ever been in. The store is clean, The clothes are organized by color & size. GREAT! Prices. They are super nice and helpful . love it here!”
“During my shopping experience my daughter and I found great prices for the clothes we found
I diid appreciate the organization of the store The sizing and the color coding. When I shop itz very important to know where things are located
Thank you so much”
“Hit or miss here. Most of the time, the staff are very pleasant. But once in a while, there can be someone who is having a bad day. As with any thrift store, the inventory is going to vary greatly. It all comes down to what is donated.”
“Decent shop had a lot to look at but the only downside is the VA discount is only on Mondays which I don't know why it's just not everyday but other than that good place.”
“The staff are so kind and attentive. Even though it was busy when I dropped off my clothes to sell, the ladies were still polite and respectful.
I also want to mention Linsey from my previous visit. She was very polite as well. All of the staff provide exceptional customer service. Thank you for making every visit pleasant whenever I drop off my clothes to sell.”
