“I was referred to animal vision center of Virginia by a technician at an emergency veterinary hospital when my 8-month-old puppy experienced complications from a prior surgery performed elsewhere. This occurred on a Sunday and the ophthalmologist immediately called in her team and met me at the Animal vision center in Virginia Beach. The facility is located in an 18th century historical building hidden in a subdivision just off Independence boulevard. I doubt anyone would find it unless they were looking for it. It is a beautiful facility that projects a very calm atmosphere that is relaxing to very frantic pet owners. The rather large clinic cat named Oliver even kept me company for a time while my puppy was being treated. The care my baby received was outstanding. They listened to my concerns and reassured me that my little one was going to be alright. They worked all afternoon on a Sunday providing the very best care my puppy could have possibly received. They made sure that he was recovering well before I took him home. They understood my baby's difficulty with eye drops and gave me all his medications in pill form. He lost an eye but is recovering well and is more comfortable than he has been at any time since the first surgery. I wish I'd gone to them first for animal vision care.”
“Dr Drinkwater is excellent. The techs are excellent. They all went above and beyond to help my sweet girl Gigi. I would highly recommend this vet and her wonderful staff. Ben, the tech called me on Saturday and answered all of my urgent questions regarding the meds and Gigi's diagnosis. He is awesome! Thank you Hope Spring Vet for everything! I am so pleased you are taking such wonderful care of Gigi.”

“We got an appointment with their new mobile vet service and it was wonderful. I had ankle surgery and can’t drive yet and was so impressed with the service and how much my two dogs loved the experience. The travel fee was very reasonable and it was great all around. I will 100% book that type of appointment again.”

“Dr. Forcier is one those Veterinarians you would follow to the ends of the Earth because she genuinely cares for her patients. I have never been disappointed and she has cared for 3 of my fur babies. She impressed my family and me consistently by always speaking directly with us versus through third person. When we have spoken with staff they too have been attentive and patient which I do not commonly run into with support staff at previous vets. Thank you Courthouse for going above and beyond for my Boom-a-licious Bubble Gum 💙”
“I will always recommend Hilltop. I love how they treat their patients and pet parents. I have a cat, Jameson, with a unique medical issue. They’ve been really great to work with while I navigate my boy’s needs (feline incontinence is NO JOKE). He does get GABA on his visits, but he’s been without as well. Not once has he ever expressed stress surrounding coming here (only thing that bothers him is the bumpy roadwork on Laskin). I’ve even caught him crawling into his carrier as if ready to go. He’s naturally a very sweet, chill guy—but that doesn’t make him immune to stress/discomfort/fear/trauma etc.
So I really think it speaks volumes that he enjoys coming here. They’ve struck a really great balance attending to his needs and keeping my budget in mind. Entire staff, vet techs, admin, doctors—10/10 no notes.
I’ve also briefly been to Nexus, the urgent care in the same network—they were great, too!”
“So glad we found this vet hospital. Brought Marco in because he was bitten by another dog. They normally work by appointments but the team went above and beyond to accommodate. Pricing was very reasonable. The entire staff was great and ensured Marco was comfortable. Happy to make this our home vet for our pets.”
“I cannot overstate how much I love this office. The staff is so wonderful and friendly, the doctors are incredible, and they take the time to really get to know both the pets and their parents. I love walking in to pick up my pup's maintenance medications or coming in for an appointment and feeling like I'm talking to family members and not a business.

He takes the time to explain everything in detail and is truly passionate about his work. He has performed surgical procedures on both of our dogs, and they have healed beautifully. We have always felt confident putting our pets in his care, and we will continue to bring them here for years to come. 🐾❤”
“I normally go to Hilltop Vet ( which is awesome, btw) but needed a quick appt. They said they could get me in the next day at their sister location, Kempsville Vet. I hadn't been there before. I was so pleased with the care my lab Bailey received. Dr. Haros was friendly, thorough, and gave detailed explanations about Bailey's ongoing care. And the vet tech( whose name i forgot, sorry, but has great red hair!) was also very good. Even the receptionist was great. I highly recommend the vets and their care teams at both Kempville Vet and Hilltop Vet.”

“I have had nothing short of amazing experiences with this practice. Dr. D and every staff member/vet tech are incredibly supportive, helpful, and caring! We’ve been bringing our cat and dogs here for yearsss and you can truly tell that they put genuine effort into building a relationship with every animal and person that comes in. With my cat being older, they’ve been able to diagnose and treat problems he was having and his quality of life has significantly improved because of THEM. Appointments are really easy to make, and if they have availability, they do their best to get you in as soon as possible. Definitely recommend this vet and Dr. D is hilarious!”

“Came in scared that there was something really wrong with my large breed boy who at some point over the weekend couldn’t stand up. Came to the wrong site thinking it was the ER. The front desk team was warm, friendly, and soothing. They said they’d work me in, I was seen within 30 mins. Everyone, from the tech, the vet, and the person helping with check out, was stellar. I felt amazingly well taken care of and their low interventional approach was grounded, and appreciated.”
