“Great care team if you’re willing to pay. They don’t spend five minutes with your animal/issues - they spend as much time as is needed for exam, treatment, and labs/tests, thorough and follows up until issues addressed. Definitely more expensive care around, but another classic example of get what you pay for. Good customer service, equipment, and also very hygienic facility comes with the price. Scheduling is also not an issue. Treats allergies, parasites, illnesses, injuries, sun spots, other infections. Plenty of other good vets around here, we prefer Cooke.”

“Grateful for Coastal's ongoing compassionate care for Rose. Together, we've managed and rehabbed thin soles, incorporated chiropractic care and acupuncture, navigated IR diagnosis and rehab following a bout of laminitis, abscess diagnosis and treatment (while rehabbing from laminitis!), medication management, weight management and most recently ongoing care of a moderate eye injury. It's nice to know your gal is in good hands throughout these pony adventures.”

“I have been with Hope Springs for at least 12 years of more. They have cared for several puppies and dogs for me. The staff is very friendly. The Dr's are kind, patient and thorough. They were the only place that I could find to take my long haired, Maine Coone cat to get groomed. They recently got me through the unexpected diagnosis of pneumonia with my Chihuahua. He ended up passing away. They whole clinic signed a card and put his paw print on it an mailed it to my house. I could not have asked for better care for my pup and my family.”

“I don’t think I can recommend this place enough. They have always been flexible and understanding when life has gotten in the way and I had to cancel appointments last minute. Dr. Wheat and all the techs have always treated my babies so well. No question goes unanswered. I am a huge fan of the text updates you receive and are able to use instead of sitting on the phone or email. While they may cost more than other practices, the peace of mind I get when getting my fur kids treated here is worth it.”

I am still so touched and moved by how kind, caring, compassionate, understanding, accommodating, and gentle Dr. Porter was. It was my first time ever having to put down a pet, and I didn't know what to expect. Dr. Porter didn't push us to do anything we didn't feel comfortable with. He listened and gave us all of our options, and was willing to work with anything that would make us most comfortable. This is exactly the kind of vet you want when you have to make hard decisions. “Absolutely just love them! They know my dogs & treat them as one of their own. Doc asks lots of questions as she evaluates your pet to make sure all is good with your furbaby. Normally suggests several courses of action that can be taken in treating issue. I love that she does this. Start with a simple cheaper solution to try & see if it works. If, not then we can do this, unless you want to do XYZ right away. I like that she doesnt push big expensive treatment as if that is the only way. The ladies at the front/assistants are rockstars! Cant say enough good things about Family Vet Center, DrJones & staff! Thank you for all you do & taking care of my Chewy & Whiskey...& me ?”

“I’ve been to a couple Banfields in Chesapeake and this one of by far the best. They’re knowledgeable about pet health and the staff is amazing. The front desk ladies are the sweetest, the vet techs are patient and really love your pets and we see Dr. LeBron who’s an absolute sweetheart. Couldn’t recommend this place more. I have three pets, one who’s been on a steady decline due to old age. As a team, they’ve walked hand in hand with me to find the right treatments for my cat. She finally passed after months of battling what we suspect as cancer, but they made sure to provide me with all of my options and when I felt like it was time to make the call, Dr. LeBron pulled me right in to assess her so I could make the most informed decision I could and the front desk lady is just an amazing soul. I enjoy her every time I come in. I was met with nothing but empathy from the entire staff and I feel like they really went out of their way to make such a hard process easier. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do and I appreciate each and every one of them for their support.”
