“While shopping center is busy but not over whelmingly busy. The food shops are elite.... The sub shop is one of the best I've ever been to. Highly recommend place to visit.”

“As the author of the Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives Thriller Series, I write action-adventure archaeological thrillers and am always drawn to bookstores with atmosphere, and The Colonial Williamsburg Bookstore feels like stepping back in time.

The setting is especially unique. It has the feel of a colonial-era reading room, almost like a place where founding figures might have gathered for quiet discussions. The upstairs layout with beautiful wood floors adds to that historic charm and makes the whole experience stand out from a typical bookstore.

The selection is thoughtfully curated with a mix of history-focused titles and other interesting finds, and the layout encourages you to slow down and browse.

The booksellers are friendly and knowledgeable, and clearly enjoy helping visitors explore the collection.

Overall it’s a distinctive bookstore with a strong sense of place and a great stop while visiting Colonial Williamsburg.”

“7/19/22...I love board games, so every chance I get, I stop at one of these stores. I'm the "Queen of Clearance Shopping", so that's exactly where I went to, the clearance section. I found two games on clearance, as well as some 2023 calendars on sale. The cashier was very friendly. She even told me I could save a few dollars by signing up for texts. I appreciated the sale and also saving a few dollars by using the coupon she mentioned to me.”
