Blue Plate Books is the largest used bookstore in the Shenandoah Valley, filled with over 50,000 titles. The collection is comprehensive and well organized, featuring hard and soft cover, classic and new, vintage and antiquarian books. It stocks fiction and non-fiction, religious and children’s books, reading copies and collectible books. The store is clean, well-lit, and thoughtfully organized without piles, and it does not smell like mold or dust. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with numerous little nooks, ample chairs, and couches to sit on. The locally owned and operated shop is known for its phenomenal, well-educated, and friendly team. The staff provides excellent, friendly, and helpful customer service, offering engaging suggestions. Customers can browse the well-stocked shelves or search for books via a computer. The store also helps recycle books by offering cash for old and new books it can resell, with a buyer available Tuesday through Saturday. It accepts donations and appointments for large libraries. Open seven days a week, Blue Plate Books is a favorite local bookstore and a gem for the community, keeping the love of books alive. Many visitors call it the finest bookstore they have ever visited, with a great layout and good prices, and wish they could visit more frequently.
A fun used bookstore that my daughter and I found. It smelled so good to be surrounded by such loved books. There was a wide selection, reasonable pricing and helpful, sweet staff. A must to revisit.

Visited for the first time this year and I found a 100 yr old copy of "A Room With A View" by Forster that I will treasure forever. Highly recommend!
