“I have a Lexus that I've had issues with finding a mechanic that could do work on it. I was able to get my car in for inspection, oil change and tire rotation. I had to drop it off early because I needed a ride, they took my car straight in and got everything taken care of. The other mechanic said my car would not pass inspection because of brakes. But they found two issues with the installation of the brakes previously done and repaired both issues. I'm very happy. Russell was awesome and kept me posted about everything, answered questions I had and made me feel very comfortable about taking my car there.”

First experience with CarMax, and I am so glad it isn’t like the typical dealership dog-and-pony show.
Past dealer experiences always felt like they were intentionally holding me hostage, constantly pushing warranties, or trying to slide in hidden add-ons—like mandatory anti-theft tracker fees. None of that happened here. While CarMax does offer warranties, it was a simple, straightforward question rather than a pushy sales pitch.
Our sales associate, Isaiah, was fantastic. He was extremely pleasant and apologized for our wait, even though we knew neither he nor CarMax was at fault for the delays.
By the time we finalized everything and left, it was near 9:00 PM. To our surprise, they even bought us dinner as an apology for keeping us out so late! That level of thoughtful service is practically unheard of in car sales!!
Time will tell how the truck holds up, but so far, it was a fair price and everything we were looking for. Highly recommend if you want to skip the usual dealership headache!”
