“Can someone please ask Ms Carol to let self checkout be SELF checkout. If I need her assistance I will ask. Every time I come in and she is there when it's time to checkout she literally walk overs and hovers in my personal space. If she is doing theft prevention that is totally fine but do it from the back like the other associates. She is very polite and I'm sure means no harm but please back up ma'am.”
“The best local store! I love going there to buy my Pokémon and one piece products and accessories to play Tcg, they also have a huge selection of funko pops. I also love to spend time playing cards there, they have a lot of tournaments during the week. The workers are also really friendly!”
“We leave in nearby Lake Ridge, but every time family comes to visit and we take a stroll in Occoquan, we go to Puzzle Palooza! We easily spend $100+ dollars each time and we love the care and attention from the employees. They are all so kind and fun to talk to! The variety of puzzles and games to choose from is great and there is always new stuff! We love Puzzle Palooza!”
“A lovely game store with nice staff and people are always here playing various types of games throughout the week!
Bonus: open late 11pm nearly everyday!
It also sells snacks and drinks!”
“Love this place . One of the only stores you can buy exclusively ceramic supplies at on the east coast. I mix all my glaze from scratch I can always count on clayworks having whatever I need to mix my glaze no matter how experimental I’m feeling . I wish they were open Monday and Sunday but if I ever need something urgently on a Monday I can drive to Baltimore to their other store. I also highly recommend taking classes at clayworks studios in Baltimore where I taught for a number of years. They have an excellent studio space and it’s located in very close proximity to the Baltimore clayworks supplies so you will never run out of clay to work with.”
“I love Michael's. I also appreciate being able to shop unimpeded with clerks lingering around. I was able to take my time to find the yarn that I wanted to crochet with, finding new crochet hooks, crochet needles for sewing projects together, and locating all of the charms for the bracelets I've made for myself, my daughters, my friend who came with me, and her kids.
Checkout was a breeze, although I think the only issue I had was the last time I was there, I placed all of my items in a strategic pattern from least expensive to the most expensive. I had them all lined up on the counter to scan and some middle aged clerk took it upon herself to come over to grab all of my items to scan them herself. This annoyed me. So much so that I started to just walk out with buying anything when I had a little over $150 worth of items on the counter and paid for everything single one of them each and every time I go into that store or any other Michael's for that matter. I'm fine with self checkout. In fact, I prefer self checkout and not having people touching all of my items. They were already touched previously by the clerk who had to take them to the counter for me. I spend hundreds of dollars on crafting items because I love my hobbies of crocheting, beading and jewelry making, sewing fabric into something nice and obtaining other embellishment items for sewing, wood burning projects, and more. Outside of that one lady, I otherwise had fun perusing and shopping in the store.”

“I have been looking for a hobby store or a game store that had staff who were excited about their games and interested in why customers came in. Nate was exceptional! As my husband and I entered the store, he came right up and made us feel welcome and asked what we were looking for, he was incredibly patient and provided great options for us to learn about the games, offered lots of suggestions for workshops and painting tips in the store, and we walked away as 40 K converts! We will definitely be back, I can’t believe how welcoming he was. Thanks Nate!”
“What a great family owned stamp and coin business. They are only open on Saturdays from 10 - 4I took some stuff in for them to look at and they were very helpful and full of information. They are no longer buying any stamps or coins but they definitely sent me in the right direction.Their inventory is busting out of the walls. If you are looking to buy this is the place for you. They have Everything you need for your collection”
“It was great to see the management team leading the team for the day. I was impressed with the tone of the huddle and the word choice used by management. Listening to the leadership team speak, would make me want to work here if I didn’t already have a job. Great work!”
