“We leave in nearby Lake Ridge, but every time family comes to visit and we take a stroll in Occoquan, we go to Puzzle Palooza! We easily spend $100+ dollars each time and we love the care and attention from the employees. They are all so kind and fun to talk to! The variety of puzzles and games to choose from is great and there is always new stuff! We love Puzzle Palooza!”

“The Preservation Station is an adorable little shop in the heart of Occoquan. It is the perfect place to find a gift for that hard-to-buy for person in your life. I left with an antique box to keep all my recipes in at home and it's a great addition to my decor. I could have spent hours looking at all of the cool knick-knacks and kitchen supplies but had to limit myself...otherwise I would have bought the whole shop! Highly recommend for cool antiques and vintage goods.”

“I went to Clayworks in Alexandria with a vague list of pottery supplies that I needed for a class. The manager was very helpful in finding the right items. They were friendly and knowledgeable throughout the process, and I got exactly what I needed.”

“Possibly one of my favorite small locations I've ever visited. I initially went in thinking to expect videogames, but realized upon arrival that board games are what they sold. Nevertheless I browsed around and found some impressive mini paints and a couple awesome figurines (anime type) that you'd expect in a higher end store. While he rang me up I was expecting the 9 paints and 2 figures to be around 200, but when he gave me the price, I was spending around 80! I immediately bought a few more and the prices were still fantastic! Plus the gentleman Robert was an incredibly kind and helpful gentleman.TL:DR? It's a candy store for board games, their selection of paints or figures (anime, superhero, etc) is vast, and their prices won't gouge you unlike most other shops you go to!Can't wait to go back soon!”

“The best shop I’ve ever played at. I mainly play Magic and this is the only shop that I’ve ever been that just feels like a great place to hang out with some friends and just catch some games. Looking to play commander? Well come on almost any day and they’ll be some people play with. They have fair prices and the largest selection of cards I’ve ever seen. Overall probably the best card shop in the DMV.”

“What a great place! Walker is amazing, perfect guy for this job. My son 17 got into Warhammer so I started going here with him. Now I’m getting into it and so is my daughter. Walker has given us so much time this place is a treasure. Painting classes, in store events, and games. Retail done right.”

“Michaels is always on my go-to list when I'm in need of art supplies. The store boasts an impressive array of materials catering to both hobbyists and professional artists. From paints and canvases to craft kits and home decor, the variety is commendable. The staff is generally helpful and can guide you to what you're looking for, especially when I find myself lost amidst the vast aisles. However, sometimes I've noticed that certain popular items can be out of stock, which can be a bit frustrating when you're in the middle of a project. Also, while the regular prices can lean towards the higher side, their sales and coupons offer some great deals. All in all, Michaels Art Supply is a reliable spot for your creative needs. Just remember to check for deals and maybe call ahead if you're searching for something specific!”

“I dropped in to look for a few things right at opening and not only was the shop well stocked, but the staff asked repeatedly if I needed anything and were friendly. With it being right at opening, I couldn't have had a better experience.I grabbed just a dice mat and a dice set, but I'll be stocking up on paint and miniatures in the future.”

“I am not an avid coin collector however, having recently lost my mother to stage 4 cancer, I was looking for gift sets of all coins minted the year of birth for each of her children (us) which Mom collected. Having coins minted the year of each of our births in a nicely presented case I thought would make wonderful memory gifts to each of my siblings and I.The owners, mother and son, greeted me as family, took time to explain many of the beautiful coins and history behind many of the display pieces and were genuinely welcoming. Again, I am not an avid coin collector but I enjoyed the visit, the mini history lessons, and the welcoming nature of the shop. The store had a lot of inventory but was nonetheless very charming. I would definitely visit again and recommend it for collectors and non alike.”

“The Springfield store was well stocked and seemed organized. I wish there were more staffed registers. They have a lot of self serve ones if that is your preference. The staff that I interacted with were polite and efficient. I goo during the week so it was not crowded”
