“We were driving north on I-95 from Florida and finally stopped around 10pm. After seeing a lot of poor reviews for other hotels along the way, we were glad to find this Tru by Hilton in Thornburg. It’s right off the highway, had great ratings, and is pet friendly, which was exactly what we needed. We booked through Hilton while just 15 minutes out, and the room was ready when we arrived.

We stayed in room 321 on the third floor, facing I-95. You could hear some traffic from that side, but the air conditioner/heater helped drown out the noise. A nice bonus was being able to park directly below our window, which made it easy to keep an eye on our vehicle. For anyone wondering, odd-numbered rooms face the back of the hotel toward the interstate, while even-numbered rooms face the front.

The hotel itself was clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly, and the property had some thoughtful extras: an EV charger in the lot, a dog walking/bathroom area, and complimentary breakfast with solid options like eggs, protein, pancakes, cereal, fruit, and bagels.

Since we hadn’t eaten dinner yet, the Sheetz just a minute up the road (open 24/7 with made-to-order food) was a lifesaver.

Overall, this was a great stop to recharge before continuing our trip. Comfortable, clean, and convenient… we’d happily stay here again.”

“I booked a 2 queen bed room for 3 adults and 1 child, they put us in a 1 queen bed room, which I told them would not work, they said they have a king bed available and again I told them that would not work. They told me they were full and had no other rooms available even though I had booked 2 weeks in advance. We got a roll away cot and made the best of it.”

“I’ve been here for over a week, if not 2. Very nice place. Staff is fantastic and dinner was provided at 6pm on Monday. If you need a nice place on a budget. I highly recommend!”
