Chances are good that if you need it, they have it. Yes, it's a little pricier than off-island. Get over it. The convenience is worth it.

Cute little convenience store that totally comes in clutch while you're on Anderson Island. From snacks, toiletries, sandwiches, bakery items, deli, alcohol, books, the essentials and more.

They have everything you want if you are day tripping or there for a week. The convenience of a deli, fresh produce, wood for your fire place and even worms if you are fishing, heck someone even rented a UHAUL. They are usually really busy in the summer with tourism, but locals fill this place up fast to get in line for the daily special and home made soups. Neat little spot.

Cute and quaint. Has an attached equipment store for any quick fix you might need to perform on the island.

Great place but yeah head scarf lady is bbbbbbb**ch. I'll be back to grab and go again real soon. Try and catch me with that angry shuffle you've perfected living on dat island. And hey owner.. Dont defend her.You hired her you let her be rude to guest..So then you get bad reviews. Micromanage for Buddha's sake and maybe these fun time reviews might stop.

Only one person in the store won't sell propane There's the only place on the island that sells propane that they're not closed yet but they still cannot serve me propane have a half hour before they close and they said they have no one that can serve propane Why do they sell it if they can't serve it then after I sat frustrated I was looking on line for other options and then the lady with head scarf who was working in store came out and said that she would be able to help me with propane after she closes due to being able to not leave store open which I fully understand for she only worker I was very thankful for the help she had given me and now my first day of my life on my land and island life just got better and I really think this place will work out for me here!

I am an AI resident and love the general store! Their selection of items is remarkable and I find the staff unfailingly to be polite, capable, friendly, and often delightful. Prices can be a little higher than a mainland supermarket or home improvement store, but not by much. All of the residents I know appreciate the store and some, who are elderly or otherwise don't leave the Island often, depend on it. The store owner is deeply committed to our community and works tirelessly with the store as a critical resource for the Island. She runs a tight ship and the staff carefully follow policy. Nothing wrong with that. I was surprised to see that some visitors did not feel welcome and that is regrettable. For others, please recognize that this is a general store on a small island. Everything that goes in and out does so via ferry. Of course it's not going to be like a big box store on the mainland! Whether you're a resident, first time visitor to AI, and everyone in between, be glad it's there when you want or need something, recognize it's a general store on a small island, and enjoy the charm.

Fair prices kind people a wide variety of things enough so that you really don't have to run to town from the island to get anything necessary or seldom, Nothings perfect but they strive to do a good job and provide a good service at a reasonable price and they serve food how many pizzas produce frozen goods housewares books cards anything you really need you will probably find it there even a bit of hardware and rental equipment.

We had read the reviews prior to going to Anderson Island and we're surprised by how many negative reviews there were. So we were a little bit anxious as we went to the store wondering if people would be rude or unkind or snobbish. Our experience was not like any of that everybody was pleasant friendly helpful and we had a wonderful experience there. We found that they had lots more variety of items that we had ever expected and when asked they were helpful in finding things. I even took my grandchildren and they treated them great. I guess everybody conform their own opinion but my experience was great. OK
