“Here it is mid-December and they still have a great selection of plants, trees and if they don't have it they'll strive to get it. Over multiple decades Bay Hay has never dropped a beat in service and quality. They know plants and offer sound advice. So much more than a nursery.”
“Have shopped here for years, the staff are great and very knowledgeable. We ditched Chewey recently to support Paws & Fins and keep All of our pet business with them.”
“Stopped and shopped here on the 24th of February. I was impressed by the store manager. He was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I bought a number of things. It's a very nice store. I highly recommend it to anyone.”
“A Pet Lover’s Dream on Bainbridge
While exploring Bainbridge Island today I came across Z Bones Pet Mercantile, and it’s exactly the kind of locally owned pet shop you hope to find!
Similar to the Seattle Mudbay, The store is absolutely adorable and packed with everything a pet parent could want—leashes, collars, toys, high-quality pet food, and a great selection of fresh and locally sourced options. You can immediately tell this place is thoughtfully curated rather than just stocked with generic big-box items.
The highlight for me was finding a leash for my corgi that i’ve been hunting for online for months that had been discontinued everywhere else. Somehow they had it, and it felt like striking gold.
Shops like this are why I always try to explore local businesses when visiting a new place. This place clearly cares about the quality of the products they carry and the experience they create for pet owners.
If you’re on Bainbridge Island and have a furry companion at home, this place is absolutely worth a stop.”
