“I have been a happy Mud Bay customer for years and have enjoyed getting to know the helpful Muddies who work at my local store. Last week, though, an employee surpassed my previous good experiences by going way above and beyond to help me out. I'm experiencing a health crisis and while I wait for surgery, I can't carry anything heavy. I usually walk home with a backpack full of canned food. Since I couldn't do that now, I asked to have my purchase delivered. I didn't realize I could only request delivery online. After a week of stress and helplessness, I fell apart. Until one of the employees offered to drop off my purchase on the way home from work. I'm grateful, and my cats are fed. And I will continue to be grateful for the Mud Bay in my neighborhood.”

The recommendations were thoughtful, practical, and clearly came from a place of real care and expertise. What stood out most was the compassion and kindness. It’s clear there is a genuine passion for helping both animals and their owners. That combination of professionalism and personal care is rare. I left feeling confident, supported, and honestly grateful for the experience. I haven’t encountered customer service like that in a long time. “i just got a new cat!! i’ve never had my own cat before, so i wasn’t sure what she would need. i asked the staff and they were so friendly and knowledgeable about different types of litter, dry food, wet food, and treat options. they also gave us some samples to try out to see what she likes best! i also had a bit of a panic right after my girl’s spay- she got the cone off in about 3 seconds, even when i tied it tighter. i took her in and they helped me find a bodysuit that would fit to cover her incision til it heals. i will definitely be coming back here!”

The front desk staff was knowledgeable and helped me pick kibble that is close in nutrion as a raw diet. They have kibble, raw, freeze dried, and dehydrated foods. Also their doggy toy sections is so cute. Lots of toys ranging from XXS - XL stuffies. 5/5 reccomend this place for cat/dog owners.”

Both times, I received great support and very helpful tips from the lovely staff and volunteers at this shelter. My babies are healthy, happy, and high energy! Every time I come into the shelter, it’s always nice and clean, and the kittens + cats here have lots of toys, food, and clean litter boxes. I honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience. I highly recommend PAWS Cat City to anyone looking to adopt either a kitten or cat!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Paws in the Park. The entire staff is so kind, friendly, and truly cares about the dogs they work with. I adopted my dog Mae a few months ago, and they’ve been incredibly patient as she gets comfortable. They’re always mindful not to push her past her limits, which I really appreciate. Today, Mae had a tough grooming appointment, but Laura was so gentle, kind, and patient with her. It meant a lot to see that level of care, even on a hard day when Mae was giving them a bit of trouble. My parents also used to bring their dog here before moving out of state, and they still talk about how much they miss it. So so grateful to have found Paws in the Park!”

After my cat had surgery at a nearby clinic, I forgot to bring a cone with me for her car ride back, leaving her at risk of disrupting her fresh sutures. In a mild rush and panic, I called Mud Bay and spoke to Emma, who was able to quickly procure a couple different E Collars in appropriate sizes for for my cat. She had them ready for me at the front to check out as soon as I walked in the door, and I was able to get my cat safely home! Thank you so much for the amazing help. 🐾💓”

“After 14 years with a previous Vet in the area, I switched to Hawthorn Hills Veterinary Hospital. We had our first visit this week and I was very impressed with the practice, the amount of time they spent with my dog Maya, and the effort they took to ensure Maya experienced zero anxiety during the visit. Dr.Chou’s exam was very thorough and she explained everything that she was doing. My previous Vet would always take my dogs to a separate room for immunizations, blood draws, etc. and I always wondered why they couldn’t just do it in the exam room. It made me think that the procedures were causing my dog discomfort. With Dr. Chou and team everything was done in my presence. It gave me the sense that Maya was in very good hands. I’m especially grateful that Dr. Chou alerted me to a potentially dangerous health condition from a medication that Maya was on. My previous Vet had known about a disturbing trend in Maya’s BP for at least a year and never expressed any concern. Dr. Chou clearly articulated the issue and her concern and presented me with options to lower that risk.”

“I cannot say enough about how much I love shopping here! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they obviously really care about their customers and their pets! I have two cats and went through a period of time where they were being really picky about food and one was having digestive issues. At All the Best they were so understanding of what I was going through trying to find food that works for my cats! They have a color coding system which lets you know the textures of different food etc… but the game changer for me was one of the employees recommendation of an enzyme supplement that I mix into their food (the wisely one)! Once I started mixing the enzyme into their food the little one stopped having digestive problems and they both decided they agreed on a food they liked. I think maybe it wasn’t so much the food but how they felt after eating it that made the difference. I haven’t had them snub anything since they started the enzyme.In addition to providing great guidance on food etc… the staff is just really friendly and seem to genuinely like talking to their customers and hearing about their pets and lives. When I’m feeling depressed or yucky I usually avoid errands because I get anxious and I never feel the need to avoid coming here. I know if I come in feeling less than 100% that I’ll leave in better condition than when I came in. I don’t buy cat food anywhere else anymore! This shop is my #1”
