After the pandemic, we decided to give our nearly 30-year-old home a makeover! After a year of moving walls, construction woes, dust, paint, and inventory hiccups, we were finally done, and it was time to decorate from scratch. We kicked things off in our living and dining rooms. We ended up visiting Ethan Allen in Belleuve and met Shruti. Wow! What a fantastic experience. We loved working with her and keep coming back. I asked her NOT to listen to me and to please make the best design decisions, even if I had some doubts at first. Sure, there were delivery delays but that’s to be expected in our supply chain-challenged world- you just need to build those delay expectations into your plans and have patience. Bottom line - We’ve received so many compliments on the choice of colors, materials, and accessories. We’re now working with Shruti on a redesign of our master bedroom. Just as before, Shruti selected colors, furniture, lighting, flooring and window treatments we would not have selected if left on our own. We now have an amazing new bedroom coming together that is seriously gorgeous! Thank you, Shruti for being so talented as our go-to designer.

Shruti was our designer. She is awesome!! She helped us with picking out the right furnitures and fabrics for our home. She patiently listened to our ideas regarding how we wanted each room to look and gave recommendations based on that. She came to our home took measurements and built 3d models for each room with our selected furnitures which gave us an idea about how it would look. She even arranged for us to get a few loaners for the dining room and family room while we waited for our furniture to arrive. She helped us through each step in the process, she was super helpful and responsive whenever we had questions and concerns. The actual delivery so far has been pretty smooth. The delivery folks did a great job of moving everything and setting them up based on ours and Shruti's instructions. Shruti came to our place and stayed to ensure each piece of furniture was placed correctly exactly like the 3d model. We are extremely happy with how the furniture looks in our home.

Shruti Balkrishnan helped us find the right dining room chairs and upholstery to work with our oriental rug! We were so happy with that we knew that she could also help us find the perfect office sofa to serve as a comfortable guest bed.

Quality product but expensive and 2+ months late in delivery and very disappointing customer service. Our saleswoman was very attentive while making the sale, but once the deal closed, she ghosted us. When our original delivery date came and went, I had to reach out to her. She then said it was one month out still. Same thing happened a month later. Only after several instances of this, with me being the proactive one asking about delivery dates did she offer a meager apology. She has never followed up. It was clearly only transactional rather than a solid customer service effort. Given the size of our purchase and the disappointing communication, we will not go back to Ethan Allen.

Every step of the way, design-form-fabric-ordering-delivery was a pleasure. Our sectional fits perfectly into our small living room, the color compliments everything. Delighted does not even begin to cover our experience starting with Sara's guidance to arrangement for delivery.

My sales person Shiriti demanded that the delivery be left in my hot 80 degree garage. I was unwilling to do so. 25K if bedroom furniture. Not to mention that I paid for delivery in my home. Ethan Allen cares more about money than they do their customers. They are unwilling to allow you to see the furniture before it is paid. It is all custom so one would assume that they could see what they are buying before they pay for it. That is not the case with Ethan Allen. I spent 50K in one months time and have had nothing but problems. Promises for delivery that change, asking for my credit card to get samples, promises that samples would be mailed and are now not available and most importantly they do not care about the customer. Once you pay your deposit, and the 72 hours passes, good luck with these guys. I have another large order to be delivered and is now delayed and I have yet to decide whether or not I will accept it. Also, they push you to buy Guardsman for protection and send nothing to support the sale of that product. If you buy from Bellevue, find someone you can trust. The manager Chalder also said he could not help and he is the manager. I will add further to this post once it is all resolved but I will likely never buy from Ethan Allen again if the corporate office does not step in and over see this store and how it operates.

We worked with Shruti Balakrishnan, our designer, who was fantastic. Her sense of style and attention to detail were incredible. She listened to our preferences on colors and styles and nailed it when identifying furniture pieces that she thought we'd like. While taking in what we favored, she was also able to gently suggest things that were out of our comfort zone in a friendly, trust-worthy way, and we are pleased with everything she suggested. It was easy to communicate with her and she was prompt with follow-up. I highly recommend working with Shruti for her easy-to-get-along with manner and great sense of style.
The scheduling and delivery team were also great.

Where do I begin? This was the worst experience of my wife's and my life. We spent $16,000.00 and it took close to eight months to get our furniture. It finally arrived today!
It started the day after buying our furniture, when we received a phone call that we had been under-charged $125 for shipping (we had already paid $250 for shipping). I told our sales lady that that was honestly unacceptable after paying what we had the previous day. They ended up adjusting the sales price to make up for the extra shipping fee.
We had been told 3-4 months shipping for our furniture, and were hoping for a Thanksgiving delivery, or at the latest, Christmas. We were told that everything had to be shipped together to save on shipping for them, and to coordinate with the delivery company. We understood and were fine with this.
The ONLY communication from Ethan Allen was when WE would call to ask for updates. We were treated very poorly on the phone by our sales lady, and the manager Sara. When I told Sara at the end of December that ultimately it was Ethan Allen's fault for the delays, and blaming the the transport was not appropriate. She said "I know what my job is!"
Needless to say, we finally received an email in January that our furniture was on it's way from the East coast! Well....not quite. When it arrived in Portland, only 1/3 of our order was on board. We received a phone call asking if we still wanted only our bed delivered. I said yes, but asked how could only 1/3 of our order be on-board, when it had been clearly stated that everything MUST ship together. Again...excuses.
This has been an exasperating experience, and I would not recommend anyone shop at the Bellevue Ethan Allen. Once they have your money, the communication regarding your order stops, and you will be truly disappointed.
We were re-imbursed 10% off of our order, which helped, but was a pittance for the trouble this was.

Decided to buy a small couch for my den. Ethan Allen was at the top of my list.. Ethan Allen has a long history of providing well made furnishings and have great selection of materials for upholstery. Was very pleased with my choice.
