Community Food Co-op Cordata is a natural and organic grocery store in the Cordata neighborhood of Bellingham. It prioritizes locally sourced products from small farms and artisan makers in Whatcom County. The selection includes seasonal produce, sustainably sourced meat and seafood, organic dairy, bulk goods, beer, wine, wellness products, and a broad selection of produce not seen elsewhere in town. The store features a great and rotating hot food bar and cold salad bar with plenty of plant-based options, a deli with made-to-order sandwiches, a lovely bakery with fresh-baked goods including gluten-free choices and fresh noodles, and made-to-order coffee and smoothies. It is also a great place to buy coffee beans from local and regional sources. The store is always clean with friendly and helpful staff, though some note the prices can be expensive, limiting the ability of most people to shop there as much as at regular stores; however, the quality is good and staples can often be found on sale. Curbside grocery pickup is available. All are welcome to shop; no membership is required.
Extraordinary produce and bulk food/spice/tea, if I could cook that much I'd get a bit of everything! If you don't see something that's on your grocery list, the folks at the service desk can help find it or even place an order for you. Very satisfied, I am glad I became a co-op member.
