“Just a solid local liquor store (that also has some wine and beer). The man working at the register this evening was good people and they had the assorted 12-pack of Voodoo Ranger I was looking for. Glad a decent little store took over after the old store closed.”
“I got some crab and it was so good I went back the next day for more. Also, the employee here, Janet, was amazing. Kind and nice. She cut out the guts out of the crab (it was also not crowded at the time) but overall, just a very pleasant experience. Thank u Janet. :)”
“The owners/staff are consistent, helpful, and really kind if you get to chatting with them. N State St has gotten kinda rough over the last two years, but these lovey people have been a light in the dark for me and my spouse.”
“Good selection, easy in and out, friendly staff who card everyone. i keep forgetting there's a massive tax so my $63 bottle ended up costing me $85! That's highway robbery but what are you gonna do? Will be back for more tequila again.”
“I went in looking for regional spirits, and was not disappointed. There seemed to be something regional in most categories. They stocked liqueurs I haven't seen in many other places and had a few brands that are also not readily available in town. The gentleman who helped me was very kind and even offered to call his distributer to find a brandy I am looking for. The prices listed on the shelf include tax.”
“There's some reviews about price gouging from like six years ago but they aren't accurate for the moment. A bag of flamin hot Cheetos and a Mexican coke are pretty much the same price as if you bought them from Haggen; if that's any indicator.
Initially I avoided this place since it looks a bit cramped from the outside, and while it is a bit tight, you can generally get around without hassle so long as there's not a lot of people.
Once I walked in though it was a pretty positive experience; cashiers are pretty nice, seem to be having fun working at the place. The atmosphere is that of a small market akin to the ones at WWU but without the overwhelming sense that no one wants to be there.
Overall, if you're within walking distance and craving a snack or drink then by all means give it a shot; you'll likely have a pleasant experience, pay a reasonable price, and save a lot of time you would've spent going to somewhere further away.”
“been in here a few times with my girlfriend and this one cashier has followed her outside every single time we have been there, and asking her personal questions super weird and uncomfortable definitely don't recommend this place if you're a female, (please be careful)”
“Excellent wine shop and wine club. Just recently joined the “world tour” wine club and received a red and white from Croatia. They were both fantastic!! Such quality wines at a great price point. They offer a variety of other clubs too- sake, champagne, “natural” wine, etc. And wine tastings every Friday!! Overall, a wonderful experience. Such a gem?”
