I came in a few months ago while going through some not-great stuff to search for an emotional support kitty, and I met my amazing best friend Erik (who used to be called Captain Whitebeard)! This guy sleeps in my arms every night, is obsessed with drinking his water, and seems to enjoy heavy metal music. Many thanks to Ben and everyone else who helped out in the adoption process, as a first-time adopter it was a bit intimidating to take in a cat with medical complications but y'all really helped make his medical needs less scary and I am happy to report that he is currently in perfect health. If anyone else is feeling like they want/need the companionship of a pet, I would HIGHLY recommend adopting from a shelter, I swear to god these guys are infinitely more affectionate and kind. They know you chose them.

My husband and I just adopted our first dog, Daisy, from this humane society! They did an incredible job setting her up for success, with her socialization from playtime with dogs, visits and walks from the volunteers, and dog training programs. While at the shelter, Daisy really had a great chance to bond with some of the volunteers, who all miss her but are so happy for her to have found a family! We feel so incredibly blessed to have Daisy in our little family, the humane society did a great job matching us! She's such an incredible dog, and we love her so much already ☺️❤️ I highly recommend this humane society - they have wonderful animals that are ready to join a new family!

This is for the "Animal control and rescue". We had to wait until 10 am to get ahold of someone and they basically said we'd keep a look out.
There is no search.
There is no rescue.
Just paid employees who do nada.

Took my daughter to get a kitten. The prices were pretty high, you had to schedule an appointment just to meet an animal. Won't be going back. It's a shame so many dogs and cats that need home

There is nothing "humane" about this place. Long story short we moved into a place not suitable for dogs and called to find out if they had room for my dog in their adoption unit. Over the phone they said "We have lots of room bring her in" I brought my dog in and they said "If it doesn't work out we have to put her down" knowing my dog is typically well behaved I didn't see it as an issue. They told me they wait a few weeks before deciding and would let me know so I can pick her up if they did decide to put her down. That same night (on a Friday) I get a call saying "it's not going to work she is too scared" I asked if she was aggressive they told me no but said I need to call back tomorrow to coordinate a time to pick her up. I called first thing in morning to find that the office would be closed for 3 days. Long story short they rushed to put my dog down because she was scared not aggressive or ill. They mislead me about expectations and gave me no opportunity to get my dog back. This place is an absolute joke!!!

Fun to see all the dogs. Owners busy chatting & not paying attention to their fur babies.

$105 to get my cat back after someone brought it in as a runaway, is fricken extortion.

Food bank is okay don't like how dogs have to be spayed and neutered to get food more often.
