Me and my family adopted two kittens from here, as result of one of them being spayed too early on in her life. She developed hip dysplasia. We’ve spent thousands of thousands of dollars just to find out she needs a $5000 surgery. Her LEGS ARE NOT CONNECTED TO HER HIPS. She has 2 broken legs!!! This place needs to be held accountable. I’m so upset. I’m So disappointed in a place I thought was so caring for there animals. We have spent over 2k on our cat just to find out she needs a 5k surgery.

I've fostered and volunteered for WHS for six years and have always been so impressed by the dedication and compassion everyone who works here shows for the animals--and the people who live with animals-- of the community. It's a wonderful place to volunteer.

This institution and its people are amazing: it is essentially a machine for converting The chaos of the world into the best possible outcomes for its critters. I've taken my grandkids to see kitties here, adopted from here, volunteered here, and brought my dying elder cat here to be put to sleep. I can't imagine Whatcom County without this place.

These people do so much for our misplaced and/or lost furry friends. They don't get nearly enough credit for the time and energy that they put into this place day in and day out. It's also a non kill shelter! Wich is so so important to me. Thank you for all the hard work and long hours that are put into this safe haven, with the best intentions for the animals in our community, it doesn't go unnoticed.

A very fun event. There were several vendors advertising, displaying and selling their products, and it all looked wonderful. It was hard not to pick something up from every booth. The artist that drew the caricatures was fantastic! There were a lot of fun events, contests and giveaways. We especially liked the pictire spots.
