“I am a visitor from out of state. I was very intrigued by the signs on the windows of this store so decided to walk in. What I discovered was completely unexpected. I noticed an owner who cared about his community. There was 3 people that came into the store while I was there browsing. The owner treated them with compassion and respect. One customer needed cash and was wanting to sell an item that the shop owner obviously didn’t need but instead of turning them away, gave them cash for their item and treated them as a valued customer. Another customer, came in who was obviously homeless and again, this owner treated them with total respect and told them to make a pile of items they wanted. They were so happy and were telling me how this owner has blessed them in many ways. The other customer was also in need and the owner treated them respectfully. I am shocked at the several one star reviews that coincidentally were all posted at the same exact time! It seems like there was one customer that disagreed with this owner and made several different Google accounts to leave the same exact review. It is absolutely disgusting that someone would try to ruin someone’s reputation and livelihood because they disagree with their point of view. This owner obviously cares about his community and only wishes for it to succeed. I challenge those who disagree with him and his point of views to go inside of his store and have an actual adult conversation with this man. Ask about what he believes would be an asset to this community and how simple changes could make this community thrive. Why there isn’t an Amtrak stop in this town is beyond me. The residents of this town would most definitely thrive from a stop being out here.”
