McMenamins Anderson School is a charming hotel in a wonderfully restored historic building north of Seattle. The property is artfully decorated and offers a romantic stay with a unique ambiance of history, art, and culture. Rooms are big, cozy, and very clean, with comfortable beds and many nice touches. The gracious and kind staff provide great service. The lovely property features an indoor Olympic swimming pool, a movie theater that serves food and alcohol, multiple bars and restaurants including a tiki bar overlooking the pool, and amazing firepits. Guests enjoy scavenger hunting with a passport. The pool is beautiful though a little cold. Some notes from stays include that rooms are spacious but lack a microwave, fridge, and daily service. The rollaway bed is very stiff. Some bathroom suggestions are hooks for wet items, hotter shower water, and hand soap dispensers. A desk and better wifi in the room are also recommended. Despite these minor points, it is a wonderful place that guests love and would revisit.
Love this place. This time we were upstairs in the tiki bar and it was lovely! We had a kind of private room for our group which was lovely and service was great! The bar overlooks the indoor swimming pool

Thanksgiving dinner buffet. Great vegetarian and gluten free selection. Things moved smoothly and service was great. No overnight stays in our group.
