“I ordered a nice tea set for a wedding gift and it arrived in unappealing packaging. The staff at Alair was able to help by gift wrapping in a style that went perfectly with the wedding theme. I wanted something dark and enchanting the presentation far exceeded what I had expected. Can’t thank them enough! “My nephew and I found this shop while wandering around on our trip to Seattle. We both left happy and excited about the cool new stuff we got. This place is nothing like Seattle’s typical cookie cutter gift shops where they all sell the same thing. They are locals selling their art products and also stuff from other local artists. The owner is very kind and welcoming, she even took the time to talk with us a while. If you’re looking for unique and hilarious, I highly recommend this shop. You’ll not only find something awesome that none of your friends have but you’ll be supporting local business and art community. It’s a win win!”

“This store was so cool! I collect stickers from every city and state I go to when traveling and being able to go to a place like this and have so many options was great!! And they were surprisingly less expensive than other places for stickers. I also got a really cute magnet from the very nice people who worked there!!! “Andaluz is such a wonderful part of the Columbia City main shopping area and is my first choice if I'm looking for something local, well curated, fun, and sometimes a little quirky! I've shopped here for years and the owner Karla is warm and has fantastic recommendations.
The store has a variety of goodies ranging from apparel, jewelry, tarot decks (where I got my first!), books, self-care items, decadent snacks, to fun little additional surprises!
I always feel like there's something new and interesting each time I go. In fact, one of my favorite shirts is from this store. Karla has an eye for local wares and clearly celebrates small business.
Sometimes you even get to see her lil dog who is gentle and friendly! If you're in the area, you will love the cozy vibe of this store. Recommended!”
“I always find something to get here. It's full of interesting and unexpected things. There are a lot of curiosities and museam-like cases full of oddities and off the wall things you wouldn't find anywhere else. They've got the usual tourist knick knacks and toys too, so there's truly something for everyone. It's always very crowded though, so be prepared to dodge a crowd. Great experience overall, highly recommend.”

“One of my favorite kinds of travel finds, a shop where browsing is half the experience.
Shop Makers near Pike Place brings work from tons of independent artists and makers together, and I loved how broad the selection was. This isn’t one of those gift shops where everything starts looking identical after five minutes.
There were witchy and mystical pieces, cute character-inspired finds, earrings and jewelry, bookish goodies, art, gifts, and plenty of tiny things you absolutely did not plan on buying before walking in.
It also works well when you’re shopping with people who have completely different tastes. Everyone gets to wander toward their own little section and find something.
If you want a Seattle souvenir that feels more personal than standard tourist merchandise, I’d stop here.
TRAVEL TIP: Add this while you’re exploring Pike Place rather than making it a separate destination. It’s an easy browse and a great place to grab gifts while supporting independent artists.”

“I came from Oklahoma to visit a friend in the Seattle area. While we were walking around and he was showing me the sights downtown we came across this shop and I just felt like I had to go in and look around. There’s so many amazing, beautiful, quality items for sale and the prices are really great. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were given that the shop is downtown and I found the Seattle area to be much more costly than where I’m from. The owner who runs the shop was friendly and chatted with my friend and I while we were there. And we can be quite chatty with people anyways, so it was fun having someone at a shop who was welcoming and willing to be chatty, too! Definitely a shop I hope to visit again when I visit the area again someday. It was definitely among my favorite memories made while visiting such a wonderful area!”

“Yes, we only live three hours away from Seattle but we still like to have the tourist spirit... It's me a quick review not a lot going on for me in the store, but we had to stop in after my youngest saw a stuffed animal space needle... Ever since we came up here the previous year he has been obsessed with the space needle, and we had to jump in and grab some items for that memory. Prices you'd expect items you expect at a location you expect. Still fun and walked away with a good souvenir to show off the memory of the trip.”
