“An absolute gem. I could spend hours in there and I don’t know a single thing about trains, but if I lived in Burien best believe I’d be there every Saturday morning to pick some brains”

“Good prices, for singles it’s within a dollar of what it would be on TCG player so definitely worth a stop if you wanna pick up some stuff for your collection. Good place to sit down and play as well with a wide sitting area. Out of all the places I’ve been too this one is top 10 for card stores. Seems very family friendly as well.”

“I can say that most companies, including from other retail or industry sectors, could learn important lessons from this company. They are supremely CUSTOMER oriented, they know how to help and treat their customers, and their employees are ALWAYS cheerful, helpful and knoweledgeable. KUDOS to the owners, who evidently have put a lot of HARD work and SMART thinking into their business.I bought my Baby lock Vesta from them in Sept/2023, and have purchased many sewing accessories at their store online, at the Expo in Puyallup and their Tacoma store. It is a pleasure to take their classes, and the Sew & Stitchery Expos they help organize are a MUST: fun, educative, incredible people. KUDOS to ALL of them”

“As a kid growing up in Seattle this was where my mom took me when I was looking for Gundam. Fast forward 20 years and a different location across the street, I am more than happy to say that this great business is still there and providing model toy kits. Their prices are competitive and I was able to find a kit that I have been looking for. The owner is very kind and was willing to answer any questions I had. I am more than happy to support a local business like this and you should too!”

“I love meeples so so much! I play magic the gathering at meeples pretty much weekly (or more). This is my favorite game store I have been to, really great employees. If you want something and they don't have it, they can usually order it for you. Meeples is truly a wonderful local business that is worth supporting!”

“I had not been to Running Stitch Fabrics until my friends and I took a Sashiko 101 and 201 class. This shop is located in historic downtown Kent. There is on-street parking. The class offered by Running Stitch Fabrics was taught by Malinda Shirley. Malinda is a great teacher with an infectious positive energy, a lot of patience and knowledge. She brought a lot of samples and projects she has made. It was exciting to see the possibilities of incorporating sashiko into tote bags, quilts, placemats, etc. The quilt shop carries a wide assortment of notions, sashiko supplies, fabric, patterns, books and more. There are quite a few quilt samples hanging on the walls and on display in the windows. There is a long arm machine that you can rent after taking a basic longarm class or they offer long arm services. The owner Alice and her staff are very nice. I highly recommend Running Stitch Fabrics.”

“An excellent card shop with plenty of play space, a great variety of games to buy, and a friendly staff. You can't ask for more from an LGS :)They host several card tournaments throughout the week for the many games they carry. They also have a number of DnD models, paints and supplies, and other accessories for your tabletop needs. Their selection of Pokémon, Magic, and Yu-Gi-Oh products is impressive. And they carry more niche games like Weiss Schwarz, Shadowverse, and Wixoss. A fantastic place for a quick shopping trip or playing for hours in a tournament.”

“Proper. Here is a place that understands customer service, atmosphere and, above all HONOR. When asked to hold several expensive coins until I arrived, they actually did, as opposed to the huge, corporate chains run by people people who don't care about the customer and were never hired because of their abilities in the first place. (Rhymes with "Smellevue Hair Groins") Small place, but neat and efficiently displayed. Not cluttered at all. I was quite relieved at the relative safety instead of the ghetto of downtown Tacoma (no coin shop down there is worth getting carjacked for). Stagg's was nothing like that, being right next door the a Law Enforcement HQ. I doubt too many criminals would try to fence stolen loot there when the law could catch up to them by simply walking, so the mess they bring with them is already not as great. The gentleman I was dealing with was a grown adult who seemed to understand his business and prioritized it over trying to avoid any work, even if it means faking some sort of offence, which was quite refreshing. Relaxed, easygoing, able to do business comfortably... this is how things should be, not blaming the customer when you "hold" items without double-checking and then shrug when you've driven to the shop from another county for pickup. People who care about their customers hardly ever do things like that, especially when it's several times in a row and it becomes obvious on the 3rd trip back and forth in the same day that they are just playing games and will refuse to sell you anything at all when you arrive on the last trip from out of town, but they will be giggling about it in the breakroom! Not so friendly. I never had so much trouble trying to spend $20,000 in my life! They sure showed me. This is why I will ONLY deal with Stagg's. The reviews are correct. There is still decency in the world and it lives in the heart of the one called Mark. Honor is worth more than gold.”

“Edit: Reynolds reached out to me this morning to work something out with a price match for the items I bought. It was a classy move, and I'm glad to have a place like this in the neighborhood. I've probably bought gallons of XTC-3D through the years, and being able to get it in person is pretty awesome!”

“Needed a very specific car for my father's birthday. Found the exact model online with a week to go and ordered it 2nd day air to be safe. Looked at the tracking info this morning and it wasn't going to get here till late next week!! So I found this shop online and took a trip downtown (the phone number listed isn't correct), total hail Mary to try and save the day.Google maps steered me wrong, but once I found my way to the shop (deep in the bowels of the super interesting / eclectic Pike Place Market), it was exactly what I was looking for! The owner was helpful and friendly, the car I needed was within arms reach and the price was reasonable (a bit more than online prices, but I didn't have to factor in shipping).10/10 would shop here again.”

“So cool. My wife and I were so excited about the wood puzzles here. It's so hard to find such cool wood puzzles like these ones. We used to get specialty wood puzzles for our kids from Michael's, but they stopped carrying them. When we found this place while exploring the historic pike place market, it was like finding a special gem inside an enchanted forest. This was an amazingly fun project for us, and we were really happy about it. Thanks so much for the fun project.”

“Jared at Games Workship in Kent is fantastic! If I could give 6 stars I would. Went to pick up a specific book and asked if it didn't have the information in it if I could return it immediately. He opened the book, found the info and turned the book to me. That is customer service. Informative, knowledge and able to provide the exact piece of information sought for. Excellent job, Jared! Cannot extol you with enough accolades. Thanks!”

“I adore this shop. Yes, they have your traditional Seattle souvenirs, but they also have really unique and fun items you won't find down on the water or in the market. I especially love they they sell Native Northwest (Art by Indigenous Artists). I'm a local and pop in here whenever I'm down on the water.”
