“I took two sewing machines in for repair. Lisa, who helped me with the whole process was fantastic. Based on her advice, I opted to have my Kenmore machine repaired and purchased a maintenance plan for it. Rather than repair the 2nd machine, I was able to buy a pre-owned Bernina instead and I am very happy with this great little sewing machine. Lisa sat down with me and showed me how to use the Bernina before I took it home. She even repaired my broken eyeglasses which was really above and beyond for customer service! I highly recommend Quality Sewing & Vacuum and can't say enough good things about Lisa's expertise and care for the customer!”
“How cool! The owner and I got into some conversation and turns out, he used to work at the same place I currently work at! We got into chats about birds, bones, and the likes. What a humble, cozy little place. I also almost became a permenant resident because the deaf dog there was super into being my buddy! Got some cool animal teeth as gifts and for educational purposes. Very reasonably priced too- much cheaper than similar places I shopped at in Vegas and the Midwest. Love it!”
“Great shop for arts and crafts supplies as well as creative gifts and trinkets! Used to stop here when my kiddo was small and needed birthday gifts for friends. Now check here first for any drawing or painting supplies for myself. With so many shops closing in NE (Costume Supply, Fabric, Michael’s, etc.) it’s important to support the shops we hope will stick around for years to come. Artist & Craftsman is a wonderful community resource! I only wish they had some/more art classes. I think they have in the past? Might help to bring even more customers through the doors…”
“One of the most delightful shops I've ever been in. Great selection of games to buy or play (for free!), lovely staff, comfy layout, immaculate vibes. Will definitely be back here every time we visit Seattle.”
“I was in town for a comedy show and stopped into this shop by chance. But im glad I did. Great selection of current magic products. Priced at msrp which can be hard to come by. The vibe of the place felt warm and welcoming. The young man who helped me check out did a great job of pitching the stores custom Polaris sleeves and at only 7 bucks I had to give them a shot.
They have a lot of space for gaming and run local Pokémon and magic events. This is a game store worth stopping at.”
“Amazing staff and a fanstasic place to play. I've frequented Phoenix for the last five years for random draft nights, and have always left feeling supported and more engaged in my hobbies. I recently had an order shipped, and it was fufilled faster than I expected. Nothing but good things to say about this shop, give them a chance if you haven't already :) <3”
“Matt told me exactly where I could find the parts that I need for my older telescope that my father had passed on to me and it was missing a lot of parts. I might not find the parts but at least he was extremely honest and I bought a book there about the night skies to learn a little bit about astronomy before I try to go on my journey of finding the beautiful planets and all of the things to discover with a telescope once mine has been restored and completed. I was trying to find parts and Matt told me where to find the parts and I just bought an astronomy book from his shop and he was happy with that. Very helpful I wish I could get more than five stars for this business.”
“I visited from Minnesota and had yet to find anything that came close to my local hobby shops but this one did. Incredible selection of rare and diverse kits and with great prices too. This place is an absolute gem to the Seattle area and will definitely be heading back soon. Great service and a great overall store with the classic model shop atmosphere that is getting harder to find these days.”

“So cool. My wife and I were so excited about the wood puzzles here. It's so hard to find such cool wood puzzles like these ones. We used to get specialty wood puzzles for our kids from Michael's, but they stopped carrying them. When we found this place while exploring the historic pike place market, it was like finding a special gem inside an enchanted forest. This was an amazingly fun project for us, and we were really happy about it. Thanks so much for the fun project.”
“Long story, great ending...
2 weeks ago, my family visited Seattle for the first time. Being from Palm Desert California, we HAD to visit the Kraken store to compliment our Firebirds merch. After having our fill of souvenirs, we ate lunch at a nearby restaurant only to forget our goody bag under the table. All attempts to recover our souvenirs were futile and our spirits low the rest of that day. Today, 2 weeks later, I got a call that our bag was returned. Someone had attempted to return our souvenirs at a different team store claiming them as theirs, but a greedy blunder on their part raised suspicions, and they were able to return the bag to the original store. The hero of the story is Maliah ( I hope the spelling is correct) who remembered my call and reached out. Thank you for redeeming what was a stressful memory and for going beyond your call of duty??”
“Daniel really helped me out big-time. Came in looking for extension tubes and he found me a used set for a really great price. Huge store, Biggest selection I’ve seen, multiple freezers of every film stock you’d want. A gentleman upstairs helped me put together everything I need to develop film at home, walked me through the process and didn’t upsell me on anything at all. Been back a few times now”
“If you're looking for coins or stamps - this is a great find! The owner's spouse was the first to approach me and offer help. I explained that it was my first time to visit and just wanted to inspect the displays before focusing on the Morgan Dollars. The highly experienced and knowledgeable owner was engaging and helpful, but not overly so. He answered questions when asked while also taking care of phone calls and online shipment orders. I found two great coins and will definitely visit again.”

“When I first walked into the shop I thought there was nothing there for me but then I looked over and saw all the gemstone beads hanging on the wall and I knew I had come to a good place. The proprietor is rather quiet unless you can get him talking that he has marvelous stories to tell about his journeys through the years as he went around the world seeking gemstones and other things. Because of the changes in tariffs and other things he has changed the way he's doing business a little and he's offering full 16-in or 15-in lengths of beads all kinds and colors of beads at one low price you can pick any of them and he has basket after basket after basket and a bunch of them are hanging also.
Let me tell you that the most wonderful thing I've ever gotten there was Herkimer diamonds they were so clear and bright and they're absolutely beautiful in my jewelry that I make. I've also gotten other wonderful stones there the most recent time I got Sapphire I can't wait to go back. He was gone on vacation last time I went there and I couldn't believe how much I was sad that I missed him. If you haven't looked please do so enjoy yourself he has a very eclectic collection of all kinds of things that are very interesting. His top shelf gemstones are marvelous and worth every penny he asks. P. S. I never have trouble finding parking within a block.”
“Never seen a collection like this before. From floor to ceiling and sometimes in the cases on the wall are arguably 1000s of die cast cars and other vehicles that anyone of any flavor from the community would find cool. Loved how I could find new stuff like the premiums and mini gts but also old stuff like original matchbox and 2000s hot wheels that I haven't seen since I grew up. Owner was super nice and while we talked a lot about cameras I loved his enthusiasm for his work and it's a place you have to see when visiting. Only thing holding this back from a 5 is the price on some of the hot wheels I saw. I definitely refrained from some I wanted because of price now I'm ballin on a budget whereas I would've with some more disposable income available. Understand a business has to get by but at least for me I'd have bought like 3x more than I did if some were a tad lower than what they were. Support small and check this place out.”
“Very decent prices, even with the new tariffs. Good knowledge of both sports & Pokemon. However, 9 out of 10 times that I go in there, it feels like they annoyed to have to help me. But hey, customer service hasn't really been their focus over the decades that they've been open now.
Great renovation to their floor recently though! Really made it more welcoming.”
“I love this place, for some reason I'm always short. They always let me slide I really hope they don't think I am being a cheap skate. Thank you for being understanding, you have my business for life!”
“First time visiting the store. I was pleasantly impressed. I came in for watercolor materials. I was greeted and probably looked a little lost. The person at the door gave me aisle numbers for the area I was looking for, and then asked a staff person to assist. Yay! I’m glad I didn’t have to spend hours trying to figure it out by myself. The person who helped me knew their stuff! And they didn’t get annoyed when I asked a ton of questions. I found what I came for and more. This was the best treat to myself in a long time. I live on the Eastside and came all the way here for fun, and it did not disappoint ? I’ll be back for sure. Thanks to the amazing crew, you made my day!
Oh, and don’t forget to be kind and respectful. It helps more than you think.”
“I am crazy about crafting so I frequent this location. There is definitely an issue with some items seemingly being perpetually out of stock, but I can usually find what I need. Fabric selection is sparse but hopefully corporate expands this eventually. Staff are always nice and the store is clean.”
“This place is amazing! And the best thing about it is Corin! She's got all the knowledge of what's hot in Seattle + the personality of a Vegas Showgirl! I watched her memorize locals and tourists with jokes and charm as we were wandering around the displays. I'll book another trip to Seattle, next year, just to see her!

“New to Gunpla. I took the 1 line over 45 minutes just to check this place out. Tom was super nice and very informative. I ended up with the perfect action base for my HG Barbatos and also HAD to grab the Ver. Ka Nu Gundam MG while I was there. This is now my go to place for models going forward.
The prices were great. The dioramas and custom builds on display are simply amazing. Do not skip out on this place, even if you're just visiting Seattle.”
