“popped in for some wine before our dinner reservations. It was definitely busy but staff made an effort to come to us and offer menus. And take orders promptly. Wines by the glass are fantastic and would definitely have bought a bottle to go if we lived here.”
“We are summer Columbia City residents and just met Jason the new owner of Vino Verita. Jason is very knowledgeable on his wines and can make some great recommendations. Highly recommend Vino Verita and welcome the new owner. Stop by and see him. Thanks Jason.”
“Good prices, good selection, perfect place to grab study snacks for the library. Theyve got an atm too if you need cash for the library printer (its kinda ancient tho so processing takes a minute). Also a small selection of otc medicines. Its everything a bodega/diner should be except a rectangle 🩷”
“Highly recommend making this your go to wine shop while downtown. We were in search of a great shop that sold local wines with staff that was knowledgeable to make great recommendations and that’s exactly what we found in this shop. We enjoyed two bottles based on their recommendations that we ended up coming in almost every night to pick up a new bottle (or more of the same). Clean, organized, well marked sections with good pricing.”
“Been coming here for a few years and the new owners are a delight! Dropped in to check out the new space and left with a wine I adore. So glad to have people in the community who understand the island-time neighborly West Seattle culture.”
“Great deals and priceless customer service.Highly recommend for those who are looking for deals on vapes.every time I visit I never feel rushed on having to make a purchase.they stay updated with all new products from a subtle section of clothing.to snacks, drinks and smoking products.if any thing I could say that's a negative is there section of torches.”
“Full Pull ships during weather appropriate windows! They monitor the whole country! I haven’t bought wine off the shelf anywhere in years unless I’m on vacation somewhere. FP keeps me stocked and I get a little bit smarter every time I read one of their emails.”

“This is a cute little store with a good amount of unique finds. From meats and cheeses to soaps to crackers and snacks and wine. Unfortunately we didn’t feel welcomed by the staff either time we stopped in, just not overly friendly or welcoming. Both times the staff member looked at us walking in and said nothing.”
“Everyone is super nice and helpful here.
Feels better knowing they have security too.
Lots of options and super organized.
Me and my husband love coming to this total wine. They always have what we want in stock.”
“I was looking for a very expensive bottle of Jack Daniels for my husband’s boss for Christmas and I called everywhere in Tacoma and West Seattle and no one had it and could not order it for me- I walked into the Vashon liquor store and they had it on the shelf. It was a little dusty, but it was actually the perfect thing I needed and absolutely awesome!!!”

“Love this place!! Have been able to get some fantastic wines and olive oils from all over the world at great price points. Warning, it can be addictive in a great way.”
“I absolutely love this store. It always smells amazing and has so many fun things. They have so many interesting hard to find foods. The customer service is always excellent. I got a gorgeous wool rug for a good price.”
“I love the selection at this grocery store, but it can get a bit crowded during weekends. They have great organic options, though, and the staff is pretty friendly. Just wish they had more checkout lanes open!”

“Phenol55 has been so helpful in storing my wine. I have about 150 bottles with them and from the start they’ve answered every question completely, been available by email to discuss details and the pickup process when they got the wine from my home was incredibly easy. Highly recommend Raven and the whole P55 team.”

“Spacious atmosphere and a great selection of beers! If they don’t have what you like on tap, they probably will have it in their extensive beer case. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and willing to make suggestions as needed. The hotdog menu isn’t huge, but I appreciate that they have real food options besides just snacks. Definitely a great spot to chill out and enjoy some quality beverages.”

“It's not often one would give a grocery store chain 5 stars (especially if that grocery store is a Safeway) but alas, here we are. Five stars and I'll tell you why...1. Clean store and in a nice location. A lot do Safeways I find, typically are in terrible locations with no curb appeal. Not here. Location was convenient for me and the retail area it sits in was pretty well maintained.2. Customer service. I quite enjoyed my interactions with the employees I encountered. My cashier was really nice and engaging. 3. Safeway app. While this may not she exclusive this store, it was nice to be able to use the Safeway app to find what isles my groceries were located in. 4. Starbucks. While this is common in a lot of grocery stores in the area, I just had to shout it out because the service and the drink were delicious. 5. We'll stocked. Everything on my list was in stock and shelves seemed full and robust. This Safeway is about 7 min from my home so it's definitely a "go-to" option for me and I will continue to come back.”
“Total wine is amazing, you can taste alcohol and they have everything
Maria, THE BEST HOST FOR TASTE TESTING OF ALL TIME. Tons of energy and very informational. Give her a raise immediately!
Please give them a chair so they’re not standing up all day PLEASE.”
“I checked in early and was given a door right away. Unloading took about an hour. Please be respectful if you park here overnight. It would be a shame to not be able to sleep here. Thank you SLW staff. I look forward to coming back.”
“Neighborhood bar that looks like a mini mart on the outside. ?
A neighborhood gem hidden in plain sight. This place checks all the boxes.
✅ Microbrews/Beers on tap
✅ Warm food
✅ Pet friendly
✅ Kid friendly
✅ friendly and helpful staff
I stumbled in on this place in search of a decent sandwich in the neighborhood and was surprised that it is a gem hidden in plain sight. A 3rd place, a place of community and gathering. Not just A place to get a scratch ticket, a pack of smokes and cans of beer. Not your typical mini mart. A welcome place for parents or puppy parents to drink craft beer, play cards or watch a game on the many TV’s
Theres plenty of tables and social space to make new friends or connect with old neighbors. Don’t expect a crappy gas station sandwich here. They have a great selection of hot and cold and snacks are a plenty here. They carry plenty wine, sake, and cigars too. Benches and seating outside in addition to all the seating inside.
Always get your sandwich on a hoagie. And they can heat up your sando if you ask. The staff are easy going and friendly. Great at remembering names. The sandwich was so good i got a second one to go. Prices are very reasonable. I saw posters that they have an open mic night once a month here which is pretty cool. I heard they do an anniversary party every year with the owners and also theres times thy close the larking lot and do a mini block party.
I will definitely be back in the neighborhood and i am so happy i found a nice hidden sandwich shop/tap beer, puppy friendly/ social game space! Theres more than meet the eye here.”
“Been coming here since I turned 22, I'm 26 now. This place has the best prices, is pretty close to the light rail and the staff is always kind, amazing and offers great suggestions both based on taste and what your budget is! I once forgot my water bottle and didn't come by for at least a few weeks; next time I came by the staff gave me my water bottle!! Like how did they remember me, my fave and keep it for so long?? Customer service alone is 10/10. Also if you order online can get points that go towards store credit. I once got $5 off a $10 bottle just because I hadn't been using my points.”
“For something different, try a visit to one of the many World Market stores located in 33 different US states. (See their website to locate the store nearest you.) We've been to various locations in IL, CO, CA, WA, and NM. They offer a nice variety of reasonably priced home goods from couches to tables to kitchen ware as well as other items. They also have a nice selection of food items from other countries that you generally don't find in your big chain grocery stores. Most locations also have a nice selection of beers and wines that again, aren't usually found in chain grocery stores.
Overall it's a fun place to visit and we recommend it.”
“All the folks who work the liquor section are awesome. I don't remember their names but at least three times now I have enjoyed the people at the registers here (there are two registers in this section that you can utilize to essentially bypass the other lanes if you buy something from the liquor or health products that are in the secure area of the safeway) The lady that helped me earlier this week was very diligent and worked hard to keep things moving smoothly which I appreciated!”
“This is a huge grocery store. It is clean, organized, and well-stocked. It's basically an Albertsons, and I was able to use the same app. I got some food and drinks, and the self-checkout was easy and quick to use.”

“Excellent family-owned place for delicious shawarma (I got chicken that was very juicy!) with beautifully toasted pita bread, fresh sliced vegetables like bell peppers, tomatoes, purple onions, cucumber, and lettuce. All extremely fresh and crisp with a creamy sauce.
I also got Somali-style sambusas (very similar to samosas) but these had their own distinct spices and were delectable. They were also really big! I recommend the beef especially if you like a little kick (just a nice warming heat, not too spicy).
My order came with fries and a drink (mango jarritos)! It was so affordable, too. I will definitely be back to try more. They also have coffee and tea plus rice dishes.
Easy to use “tap to pay” and the staff was extremely friendly and generous near closing. This is a delicious little restaurant and market tucked away in a nice neighborhood.”
“Large assortment of liquors and wines. Reasonable prices (WA taxes not withstanding). Knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Staff is willing to pour samples of inventory that is available and try to order specialty items.”
“The best staff ever!! Great prices and they just started selling fried chicken. This is the only liquor store I go to, and I really can't emphasize how awesome the staff is!!❤❤❤”
“My favorite liquor store, hands down. They have it all: fantastic selection, amazing prices, top shelf service.
I enjoy the mezcal, vodka, absinthe, and Amarula.
If you are a fan of Baileys or Kahlua, you need to check out Amarula. It's an indulgent cream liqueur crafted from hand-harvested African marula fruit, aged in oak for a velvety, exotic, and sun-ripened savanna flavor.”
