“We haven't been there is a few years, but really miss it there. This was the best daycare we've had. They keep the kids active and do a lot of activities with the kids. My son loved being there. The teachers were very good with the kids and fed the kids good food. The owners are great people and take pride in their business.I was just talking to my so. About Root to wings. We both miss it. It's too bad that a lot of other places here in kent dosent do the same.”

“All 3 of my children attended Sundance and I firmly believe it was the absolute best thing I could have done for them. They’re all in grade school now and flourishing which I strongly attribute to their early start with Sundance. 10/10 recommend.”

“This KinderCare is absolutely amazing! Truly I love leaving my sweet angel baby girl here in such great care! The infant teacher Ms. Deepali is truly the best and made us feel comfortable bring our baby here from when she was 4 months and is now 10 months and thriving. She is so social and happy and is growing so well. Everyone loves her and treats her so well. I always get updates and pictures and anytime she’s ever been sick or not herself I’ve been notifies right away! Mr. Matt is a great center director and always has fun activities for the kids and sweet and kind events that help out families! Thank you for taking such good care of our sweet baby!”

“We had an amazing experience at Seattle Barista Academy during their 2-day professional barista training! This course was extremely helpful and provided so much valuable knowledge about espresso machines, crafting high-quality lattes and espresso based drinks, and even some creative and fun drinks.

A huge thank you to Paulo, our instructor, who was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also patient, encouraging, and engaging throughout the entire training. He made sure everyone in the class understood the techniques, answered all of our questions, and gave us hands-on experience that made a huge difference in our learning. His passion for coffee and teaching really showed!

If you’re looking to improve your barista skills, even if you are new to the coffee business, or an existing coffee business, or just to perfect your craft, I highly recommend Seattle Barista Academy. Their training is thorough, hands-on, and absolutely worth it. Thank you again to Paulo and the team for an unforgettable experience!”

“We moved to Washington from Hawaii in 2022 while I was 20 weeks pregnant with my third child. The first preschool that we chose for our then 3 year old was not a pleasant experience. I learned that I had to do more of my own due diligence before choosing the next school.Let me just say that I really felt like we struck gold with Pixie Hill. I am VERY grateful for the wonderful teachers (Ms Ashley, Ms Rebecca and Ms Bailey) at Pixie. It is because of them that my son has had such an enjoyable experience this last year. He asks us every day at pick up if he can stay at school longer, and even on the weekends - he looks forward to Mondays (cant say I feel the same haha). One thing that really sold me before we ever got to visit the school was the large back yard/play area, and knowing that the kiddos would be spending time outside everyday (rain or shine). The extra bonus is the location--not only is it accessible to Mercer Island families, but also convenient for families in Seattle and Bellevue.Wish we had more time at Pixie, but looking forward to when my youngest will be able to attend.”

“The team here play a huge role in my child’s development just in the short time she’s been there. She’s taken care of, allowed to express her self and play with other kids her age. They offer dance and gym classes for my child which she loves and has inspired her personality so much here at home. I’m grateful to the teachers, staff and The director to know my child education and care is in good hands while getting as much socialization as she can??”

“I went to a local event here, and it was absolutely fabulous. I am so thankful there are still venues for small artists to gather and share the arts with others.”

“Our child has attended for 2+ years and loves the teachers and their classmates. The directors and teachers are professional, communicate well and address any concerns proactively. Love seeing all the kids art in the walls and getting updates on the app throughout the day, too!”

“Teachers are devoted, assuring kids are kept safe and in a learning environment. On a daily basis I see how the Teachers care so much for each little one, when they walk in the classroom, we are fortunate to have found Denise, and there is such a strong mixed culture.”

“The staff at Grace Children’s Center have been nothing short of loving, caring, kind, informative, communicative and warm from day one. They love our son and care for him in ways that leave me confident he is safe, nurtured, and learning. From outside time to water play, story time to nap time, socializing to individual engagement, we are grateful for their attention to each kid and their care for all.”

“We started our daughter at SELC A1 when she was 5 months old and have really loved our time there. Our daughter really liked her infant class teachers and would pump her arms with excitement at drop-off. SELC A1 was so helpful in doing a slow transition to the toddler room, which was a bit overwhelming for our daughter at the beginning. She warmed up to it and now loves it. The staff seem to genuinely like the kiddos and enjoy their jobs. They do fun activities with the kids and take them outside quite a bit. We get lots of great updates throughout the day and the teachers are always happy to chat at drop-off and pick-up. The kids all seem happy, too. There are lots of smiling happy faces in pictures. Though I don't have a lot of experience with other daycares, SELC A1 feels very organized and the communication is great, which I really appreciate. It was something I noted from the very beginning of our search. It feels like everyone is paying attention and doing their best to provide quality care and service. Daycare everywhere is expensive; SELC A1 is worth the cost---good staff, happy kiddos--what more could you want.”

“Our child loves it here. He runs to his classroom everyday and is excited to play with his classmates and be with his teachers. The staff are friendly, helpful, and communicative. The center is clean and the classrooms are cozy and bright. We've had a great experience over the last year here!”

“1) I like the vending machine snacks. There are vampires here but they keep it low-key.

2) Kind of irritated that the light wizards here dont teach you thunderbolt in the first year but if you let impatience overcome you that's the easiest way to turn evil. At least that's what the wizards say. Anyway I went to school here and can tell you many of the staff here are kind and want to teach you the way of light. Do not listen to evil wizards that whisper into your mind from the bowels of the underground cave system. They're supposed to be there to temp you to stray from the light and if you listen you will be turned into a conduit for evil.”

“I don’t have any kids that go here, but my partner lives in the apartments right above bright horizons and the teachers seem engaging and adorable. It makes me chuckle to hear the conversations that take place.”

“We absolutely love Little Acorn Sprouts. As first-time parents, it was incredibly difficult for us to find teachers we trusted to watch our baby girl at 12mo, especially during COVID times. But we both work and eventually decided that our daughter was too social to stay home w/ just a nanny or au pair. Fast forward one year (she's almost 2yo now), and I literally cannot say enough good things about this center.Gianna is the director and goes above and beyond for the kids in both classrooms. Natalie is the lead for Little Acorn Sprouts and as a mom herself, treats the kids like extensions of her own family. Emily is the lead for the older classroom, but has an incredibly special bond w/ our daughter and sometimes babysits for us as well. Honestly, all off the staff (Rose, Lauren, Daisy, Cheska, Nina, Alex...) from each classroom are amazing and we feel so fortunate to have found them. All of the teachers at Little Acorns (both Sprouts and the Dayschool) are communicative, professional, and go the extra mile in sharing highlights from each day at pickups. They send photos and videos throughout the day as well, which I adore (and rewatch over and over again). They teach our little ones great habits, too (sign language, to put away toys, throw away trash, wash hands before eating, etc.) and are also very diligent about filing incident reports, even when the incident is minor.During the summers, they are extremely good about applying sunscreen and making sure all of the kids are hydrated. And above all, I have to give major kudos to the teachers for helping us potty train our toddler. It would NOT have been possible to potty train our little girl before she turned 2yo w/o their commitment, patience, and encouragement! We've only had experience w/ one other daycare, but based on what my friends say living all across the country, Little Acorn Sprouts' staff really do a lot more than what most daycares provide/offer. They are intentional about bringing the kids outdoors, think of the most creative activities, and the teacher:child ratio is ~1:4 (even though the state requires 1:7 for children under 2.5yo). I think the biggest example of how they're better than your typical daycare is around potty training: they honestly guided us through the process and made it happen!I love all of the staff, but I really have to give special recognition to Gianna, Emily, and Natalie. I have come to see them as real friends and I sincerely hope they stay in our lives long after our kid(s) grow out of Little Acorn Sprouts/Dayschool!”

“Must be awesome! Last July, walked by and caught a glimpse of outdoor backside training gym they had set up. That day there was also a young Asian man who was about 6.5 and had 4ft wide pecs. Hunk! Reason alone to go and get slim!”

“Love this BH center! My son was here from the age of 2-4 (early preschool, preschool, kindergarten prep). All his teachers were amazing at every single grade level. They made him feel loved and they really cared. Even to this day, when he visits (he’s in kindergarten), everyone greets him with big hugs and so much love. The facility is huge and there are over 600 kids, but even the staff at the front greets him by his name. Our daughter was in the infant class and her teachers were amazing as well.

My child developed a passion for art and love for learning here. He was incredibly prepared for kindergarten. Also, fwiw every kindergarten teacher that we talked to (when searching for schools) said BH kids are always well prepared for kindergarten.

The center itself is a great space - I especially love the outdoor space. There is a ton of greenery. The location is not at all convenient for us anymore but we cannot find another daycare that is comparable. It’s also one of the few/only daycares open from 7a - 6pm near us. It gives us a lot of flexibility.

Highly recommend this BH location!”
