Your staff is exceptional…your support has created the best in quality of life for our pets; thank you again…they are our family members?”

“I love love love Summit. Dr. Katie and Dr. Tyler are very skilled and thoughtful vets. They are compassionate and always give lots of options. I feel empowered to make the right decisions for my pet's health with their guidance. There's been many occasions where they could have upsold me or pressured me into more and tests as I have one veryyyyy old dog Zelda and one kinda old neurotic dog Argo, but they never have. When I first brought Zelda to Dr. Tyler Vance it was during COVID and she was having heart problems and I thought I was going to need to put her down. Dr. Vance fine tuned her medications (she's on like 6) but once we got her pain and fluid balance issues dialed in my dog is doing really great and she's 17. I got several more great years with my dog due to this clinic. The vets always answer all my questions and are very through. Now onto the other great part, the office staff here is wonderful! I've never had a vet before with great office staff AND great doctors. This is very hard to find. You can text message or email in medication refill requests and they will text you back to let you know it's ready! How easy and wonderful is that?! One time Zelda had a suspected UTI and I think it was Kelsey who walked up and down the street with us and Zelda and managed to catch her urine in a little tray when she squatted. I felt that was above and beyond. That's the level of dedication the staff has. Lastly, and what prompted me to make sure I wrote another review for this place is we went on a family vacation recently and had to bring our dogs with us last minute. We brought some dog antianxiety medicine but not nearly enough. When we got to the vacation house Argo wouldn't stop howling and panting and it was a nightmare. I called Summit and within 2 hours they got medication approved and sent into a local pharmacy for my dog. Wow they saved my entire vacation. Thank you Summit!!!!!!!!!”

The vets are knowledgeable, the staff is very friendly and clearly love animals, and everyone is patient with us. The new clinic is also fantastic!”

“I've been going to Banfield for years and finally had it, my dog had a ear infection and Banfield wouldn't even call back.Called Cascade veterinarian and got in 3 hours later and can not even find the right words on how great they are, very thorough, caring and friendly. Their help and treatment was above and beyond.”

“Without a doubt, the vets, techs and staff at Riverview are the finest veterinary staff I’ve come across in a long lifetime of owning pets. They’re also really kind people! I lucked into finding this practice when I moved up to Vancouver during the Pandemic. The location is convenient and the facility is large, clean and bright. But, truly, it’s the people who keep us coming back. I have had four dogs and three cats as patients of Dr Scott and Dr Lisa. Since we started coming to this vet, my grown children have started bringing in the furry grandbabies as well. We’ve converted neighbors and friends as well who are also amazed by the top-notch care. My animals are so well cared for and every time we come in or call, the entire staff greets us like old friends. I know my animals are cared for and respected. I really appreciate the common sense approach to veterinary medicine mixed with the latest data and treatments. My eldest dog passed away somewhat unexpectedly from a stroke at home a few weeks ago. The entire staff at Riverview has been enormously empathetic and they’ve gone out of their way to ease my grief. It means the world to me that these people take the loss of a much beloved pet so seriously. I will continue to sing high praises of Riverview Animal Hospital to anyone listening!”

“Yesterday I took my new dog Baxter for his first appointment. I was a little nervous since he is "a lot of dog" and I am still refining his exuberance. The whole staff was great. They took great care of us and had me bring him in when the waiting room was clear. The Doc was super and seemed to have a good read on Baxter and answered my questions and covered everything. The whole experience was super easy and I will definitely keep them as my (Baxter's) vet. I recommend them highly!”

“Dr. Dykehouse, along with all of the staff that he has working for him, including his wife, Jill, have been absolutely wonderful to us, and our kitties. I started seeing Dr. Dykehouse when my oldest son was 1 year old. My son is now 32! This wonderful Dr. has taken care of all of the cats we have had. We had 5 cats at one time, and they lived to be about 18 years old. Right now, I still have one of these 5 kitties, and he is now almost 24 years old!!!!! He is still happy and healthy, because of Argay Cat Clinic.”

“I’ve only been here once but it was enough for me to see the vet working with my dog truly cared. She explained what was going on with my pup, prescribed the appropriate meds and walked me through how to administer them along with additional feedback for care & dog training recommendations. The assistant even called me a week later to check on how she’s doing & even asked for photos to make sure she was healing well. I will definitely be coming back when needed. Thank you all so much!Photo of my pup attached, she was a bit scared to see the vet ?”

“Hi, I left a review but I hit enter before getting to say the good stuff and I feel bad about that I am so sorry! :(I just wanted to say that Ashley called me today and was very helpful! I left a comment on what I do think needs changed tho such as prices keep going up on medications (flea & tick meds, etc..) & this is tough on many pet owners these days w/the recession/ inflation, everything is so expensive & everyone keeps passing the buck, etc -everything just keeps getting more costly & I’m not talking just animal meds, I’m talking everything so I do get it why they hv to charge us more! It’s really Big Pharma-They are to blame! I’m sure of it! Just stinks we little people get charged all this money we can’t afford! But anywayZ, Ashley, from Good Neighbor Vet just called me back and gave me some referrals plus the numbers as well, & I really appreciated that! She was kind enough to hear me out about everything so Thank You! You guys are amazing with many, things and always been good with my/our pet!I’ve been grateful to have had you to go to for getting my girl Gracie’s shots, exams, etc!Y’all made and do make that part very simple … and it’s helpful having the Mobile Vet Clinic to go to! I appreciate that!I like it BEST when it is mobile, bc when I realized the mobile vet of yours moved into Coastal, I sat outside waiting & wondering where it was at~??I even called to check, but my 2nd call wasn’t answered that day until later on -after I already found out-(The first call from home didn’t mention inside just that GNV was there until 5PM.I finally asked someone & they pointed to a sign that was really small & said that mobile vet moved inside. Unless up front, I would not have been able to see it!? It was 4:47 PM at that time and you closed at 5:00 so when I went in the store workers told me you were already closing up and another lady that worked for GNV was walking out of store same time… a worker from coastal pointed her out to me, so I approached her and asked if I could get my flea meds bc it was still before 5:00 PM & she told me everything had already been put away & that I’d have to come back another day. I was frustrated bc I had just fought a lot of traffic to get there (I was buying flea meds for my mini-schnauzer) but couldn’t even get them and it was before 5:00 PM. So, I suggest~>>>>IF ~> you are “closing” at 4:45PM,you best change your hours on the website and put a MUCH BIGGER SIGN OUTSIDE.that everyone can see... bc I didn’t even see it until another man pointed it out to me.. (maybe I’m blind I dunno?) but I didn’t even notice it nor did I know to look for it. With that being said, When they say,“Check The WEBSITE”… you best check the website for updates. Had I probably done that, I wouldn’t have been so upset. Now, I did CALL from home, and the lady said they were open until 5:00 PM but never mentioned inside the store. I got there about 4:10-4:15PM and just waited thinking they parked the Mobile somewhere else? I was very confused.Anyways, I didn’t know they were moving inside the store and I didn’t get any notice of this information in my email, so? I thought it was best I let others know this in case it’s been awhile since you’ve been there.~Although ->all in all I’m grateful they ARE available for shots and light physicals …flea meds, etc but now I have to find another Veterinarian for all the other things my dog needs. (To be Spade, X-rays, full physical, anti anxiety medication, etc)You guys are great for SHOTS, regular check ups, & flea meds. micro-chip & referrals!I’m truly GRATEFUL to have you for these things PLUS-hours & locations are good! I’m grateful for the good customer service & also for being able to get Gracie microchipped! I also love that you guys always get back to us pretty quickly!! Thank you for that!I’ll definitely ? keep recommending you to friends and family members ~Thanks for reading! S.L. Of South Auburn, Washington (For Miss Gracie-Grace aka Miss Gracie May) :-)”

“Thankyou for your care today. After using their Cholorhexidine shampoo my dogs skin and fur look so much better already, the majority of her fur is detangled, and her scabs softened up and melted off. I appreciate your efficiency. I tried my best to fix her at home but it really is true just take your fur friend in. Bo had major hot spots that turned into infection but off on a road to recovery.ThankyouFrom Bo & I ❤️”

“We take our pugs here and really glad we decided to pick this place. The Vet is super kind and cares about the animals she sees. We felt she really cared and we were treated with respect and kindness. Unfortunately, in these days, that’s getting harder and harder to come by. Not here. Thank you, Halsey Animal Clinic!”

“Great vet in Portland. Kind and caring staff that works so hard to take care of our babies!! Rick is the best thing about this place, so ask for him as your tech!!! He is the most kind and caring, our animals adore him. If he ever leaves we will follow him wherever he goes.”

“The employees and vets at this location are always a delight and happy to help. Their priority is always the animals under their care and they take my concerns seriously. Often go above and beyond to make sure that my dog is happy and healthy. Keep up the good work!”

“I love this bunch! I have a totally different opinion then some of these reviews. I will admit when I first met Doc Hughes I wasn't sure, he seemed almost too serious! We got to know him and while he isnt the throw a party because we showed up kind of guy he is totally competent and a pleasure to deal with. He is absolutely hands down the vet I am most comfortable with in all my 64 years and numerous dogs. He never fails to explain things to me in a way I understand (medical moron that I am), and has my dog Luna's best interests at heart and I feel it every time we visit. Luna is happy with him as well, a good sign!My last dog Shadow had Congestive Heart Failure and the vet I was using did not diagnose her properly. Doc Hughes did and recommend an amazing Cardiologist for her, and I am convinced those 2 helped to keep Shadow alive for almost 15 years. Her heart was bad but thanks to them she lived well to her last day.David and all the staff, are caring kind people and I have no desire to go anywhere else.”

“Does anyone else find that most veterinary clinics in Portland are going to pot?VCA is a diamond in the rough. A fraction of the price of most clinics in Portland with better service.People here seem to actually enjoy their job and care about your pets wellbeing. The one and only downside is that they are always busy (I assume because everyone is transferring to this vet lately.) You have to chedule well in advance for regular appointments and there's only a slim chance they'll have space for an emergency visit.”

“I was in hospital. You cared for my pug Frank Pugsley. I'm so thankful for your kindness and compassion and the care you gave Frank. Since Frank is diabetic you had to give him his insulin shot twice a day. Thank you Hannah. I could heal without worrying about my baby boy care. He's going to be 20 this year. Thank you”

“I like the vet here. I get a little tired of the constant attempts to upsell me with this or that service though to be honest.I just wanted to update this review to say that this place is just SO SLOW! There was one person ahead of me this morning and it took 15 minutes to get them checked in. Then it took them another 15 minutes to check me in for the drop off we were doing. Just ridiculous. Please sort out your computer systems and check in process. It's insane.”
