“I cannot recommend this place enough. We’ve never stayed in a B&B before, and this completely changed our mind on them, I wish I could move in. This was one of my favorite, if not my favorite place I’ve ever stayed.

The amount of effort and love Maggie and Dave put into their B&B and their guests is well beyond what any hotel has ever done for us. The B&B was fully renovated and extremely well kept. It was VERY clean and the rooms had everything you would ever need (Keriug, mini fridge, fireplace). Plus, they provided more TV services than the Fairmont we stayed at. Our room had a perfect view of the water. They also had microwaves downstairs and plenty of board games!

The breakfast was better than any breakfast I’ve received from a hotel. Maggie prepared beautiful fresh fruit (I’ve only ever received the frozen mushy berries from continental breakfasts), cheese and meat boards, baked goods, and a DELICIOUS quiche. I’m not a huge egg person, but that quiche completely changed me. It was insanely delicious. Dave made for awesome conversation and made sure we were well served.

And to top it all off, Dave and Maggie also provided complimentary juices, drinks, and other snacks all day along! It was so nice to be so well taken care of. Everything was so well thought out and the most gracious people ever.

And as for the greeting committee and the hosts, Maggie, Dave, and Lilly and exactly who I want to be. They were beautiful and bright souls who made us feel like we were at grandma and grandpas. The most welcoming people we’ve encountered on our travels. I never thought I’d visit Whidby Island more than once, but they’ve convinced me to go back and stay again! I wish ewe could stay with them on every vacation.

And, you MUST say hi to their sweetest dog, Lilly as much as possible.”

“If I'm staying on Whidbey Island this is my go-to place to stay. Friendly staff, great location and reasonable prices. The outlets in the rooms are old and worn out so a new phone charger won't stay plugged in to most of them, but that's a minor issue. 5 stars :)”

“Super nice, clean, old, quiet place/home. We booked the cottage #5 and it was very comfortable and spacious for two ladies. A home with history. The bedroom was awesome. The house was clean. We were very lucky to book it for first weekend of December and we were the only guests at the Fort. Thank you for opportunity to touch history.”

“One of the most beautiful and unique hotels I’ve ever been to. It was so meticulously designed and curated. I felt like I was in a historic inn and also a lavish getaway. The rooms in the cabin are shared bathroom but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The spaces in the main house are to die for. Truly the best way to experience. Free yoga on Saturday morning was amazing and we had it all to ourselves.
We went on our joint birthdays/ anniversary trip and they went absolutely above and beyond to make us feel celebrated. Personalized notes at dinner, bottle of champagne in the room, etc. It was magical. And the nature is stunning as well. Felt like one night was just enough to keep us hungry for more!”
