“The perfect romantic weekend getaway from Seattle, can't recommend this place enough. It was so beautiful and situated in the perfect location (close enough to town to walk, but out of the way enough to relax). Breakfast was delicious and everyone we met at the property was so kind. We needed a couple of things during our stay, an iron and toothpaste, and they were brought to us so quickly. Truly a one of a kind experience and worth every penny!”

“We had an amazing stay at The Bishop Hotel! The beds were super comfortable and the suite was really spacious. The hotel has so much historic charm, which makes it feel really special. The lobby is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting, and sets the tone for the whole stay.

The staff are all lovely, and special thanks to Ayla, who was incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for us.

The bottle shop was such an unexpected highlight, I wasn’t expecting to see allocated wines from my favorite winemaker in Umbria in PT! Such a unique and fun selection.

Overall, The Bishop Hotel is the perfect mix of comfort, character, and thoughtful hospitality. Highly recommended!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Swan Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we especially loved the coffee bar. We even purchased their coffee mugs to take home with us! The location and view were outstanding. We truly appreciated the caring and extremely helpful staff. The Swan checked all the boxes!”

“What a fun place. It’s an old building that has its quirks, but nothing to diminish its rating. We stayed in the Commander Suite and if you like views, light and plenty of cross ventilation this room is perfect. You get a clear view of the water and all the boating activity. You also get the wonderful sounds of the waterfront. You can walk 30 steps to the water if you just want to play in it. Breakfast was delicious. Also, you are in easy walking distance to some great restaurants and shopping. But you are not on the noisy downtown streets. We’ll go again.”

“15 minutes out of the downtown area so you need a car but it’s quite peaceful

Cabins are a walk across the lawn (slight downhill) (complementary carts)”

“Love the location of how quiet and quaint it is. Don’t mind the stairs at all since our kids love it and we count that as exercise for us but would not recommend for people with bad knees. Views are spectacular though. We stayed here multiple times as owners. They have updated all units. The pool and game room is also a lot better now as well. Internet works great along with adequate free tv channels. Bring your own chromacast if you want Netflix and Hulu. Unit was clean and we had a bit of trouble with our fireplace and Eric helped us with turning it on quickly. Julie and Adrian was also quick in responding our texts. Checking in was also a breeze! I love discovery bay! It’s our go to yearly. Please tip housekeeping everyone! ?(bring change since front desk can’t give change out for tips)”

“Quaint Comfort with Snack PerksThe Washington, a delightful small hotel, surpassed expectations with its tastefully designed rooms, creating a cozy and elegant retreat. Located centrally for easy access to city attractions, the absence of breakfast is compensated by an array of complimentary snacks, making it a perfect choice for those who appreciate thoughtful hospitality and a touch of luxury.”

“Mary at the front desk was my angel! Showed up on busiest weekend of the year and somehow got a room. She also helped me flag the one cab in town (Ivan) given there’s no Lyft/uber. Pointed me in the direction of great coffee, and the only way out of town without a car lol. Seriously above and beyond. Got room 17 which had a beautiful view of the water, great bedding for my bougie taste. Not the fanciest room (hence not 5*), but location, view, and bedding made it wonderful and up to a 4! And Mary is the best!”

“If you are looking for something very different, this would be a great little place to stay. This place is a rustic farm with a tranquil environment to spend some quiet time. The unit we stayed in is a cabin with full bathroom, full kitchen with pots, pans and utensils. The bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. The living room/kitchen has a sofa-bed. There is a tube TV with a VHS+DVD player (the hosts have a good selection of movies to lend out). Everything is old-style but reasonable clean. Like a lot of people already said: it's not for everyone.

Be advised that there are six of these cabins on the property, but appears only one cabin is in operation. The other cabins look run down and empty. The property owners are elderly, probably do not have the time and energy to fix up the other cabins.”

“Water Front Inn is a beautiful place to stay in Port Townsend. It's a little farther from the downtown strip, but it's a nice 1-2 mile walk of you're up for it. All the rooms have a balcony view of the bay, mini fridge and microwave. It is also a short walk to Safeway if you want to get some groceries for your stay. Also watch out for deer in the neighborhoods.”

“Stayed here recently and had a great experience. Service was attentive and the room was spotless, no signs of bugs. Appreciated the in-room amenities, including a microwave and refrigerator, which made the stay more convenient. The view was a highlight, with both the mountains and harbor pier visible from the room. Would recommend.”

“The Port Townsend Inn is a budget motel and it has been around a while. However, we had an enjoyable stay and were comfortable in our room and the area. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked well, which was nice because it was a couple of hot days. There was ample parking, and the motel was within half a mile of the charming downtown area. This is well within walking distance for us, but if you choose to drive there are lots of parking options closer, and you can catch a ferry downtown. There were many dining options, including pizza, Thai, homestyle, breakfast, coffee shops, ice cream, etc. Lots of shopping and art shops, also.

The check-in process was easy, and the staff were nice. Although the carpet on the walkway outside the doors was worn, housekeepers were cleaning the lighting fixtures and dusting under the walkway roof, which tells me they care about keeping the environment clean. The carpet and fixtures in our room were in good shape and worked well. The pool and spa are out of commission because they are doing renovations, but there is a nice green area downstairs from the pool building, which was good for our dog to stretch his legs and relieve himself.”
