“This was a great spot for me and my friend to stay while we visited the island for a wedding! We both love animals, gardening, and nature, so this was right up our alley. We loved that the kitchen and bathroom and living space were cozy and well-appointed, plus when it got hot in the upper barn, the AC was ready to help. The two beds were perfect for each of us, and the wifi was fast since there's spotty cell service. We didn't use their TV, but there was streaming options via Roku. We also enjoyed a short tour of the property, included for those staying on property. We didn't mind the geese honks at all hours, and the occasional pig grumbles, but keep it in mind (or bring ear plugs) for sleeping. The Writer's Loft (our unit) is a converted upper barn, so the stairs are a bit steep to access the room but was okay for our ability level. I would recommend having a bag that is easy to carry by hand (not roll) for a short walk from the parking area. I managed okay with my big checked suitcase, but next time I'll be more strategic. Overall, gorgeous location and lots of love put into taking care of the animals and historic land. P.S. I think things have improved in the last decade: there was shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathroom, nice cozy decor and soft bedding, and more than enough dish-ware and cooking tools. Plus, an AC unit and a Roku-powered TV.”

“We've stayed here a handful of times. You can't beat the location for the price, absolutely breath taking!! Right on the water with lots of price points and options. One year we had bad service at the restaurant with our kids, this year the hot tub, which is supposedly family friendly, was set at 104 degrees. 104 degrees is not safe for children. After going back and forth with the manager they set it at 101 at the beginning of our soak but our kids only lasted about 30 minutes. Even the adults couldn't handle how hot it was with no one lasting the full time. 104 is the hottest you can have a hot tub, for a 90 minute soak I would much prefer to be able to sit in it a majority of the time comfortably. It was disappointing that it wasn't safe for kids to sit in, despite being told it was family friendly.”

“My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in a deluxe studio, and we absolutely loved our time here. The room was very clean and cozy, and one of the highlights was having our own private jacuzzi right on the balcony – such a treat! The location is perfect: quiet, relaxing, and right by the marina, which made for beautiful views and peaceful walks.

There aren’t a lot of restaurants, shops, or entertainment options within walking distance, so it’s more suited for a laid-back getaway than for those looking for a lively atmosphere. Some restaurants or activities are only open or available towards the weekend (Thu-Sun).That said, it’s only a short drive to nearby towns if you want more dining or activities.

What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and went above and beyond to provide great information and resources that made our stay even better.

Highly recommend WorldMark Deer Harbor if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and relaxing getaway with top-notch service.”
