“This is a gem of place on the south part of the island. Gorgeous setting across from the water, really peaceful, but yet a quick drive to the "busier" parts of the island. The Inn is beautiful - charming and nicely appointed. Doug and Michele make you feel at home and serve up a delicious breakfast. They were super kind and really fun to get to know as they've had an interesting journey that brought them out to Lopez. We will definitely be coming back!”

“We stay at a private home rental and use Edenwild to rent kayaks from. Always professional and very flexible with time slots. So convenient to pickup close to where we are.”

“We really enjoyed the food here. The pasta is absolutely perfect. The service is impeccable. The wine service is excellent! We had the sugar-snapped peas for an app and then the Buccatini with an amazing pomodoro with pancetta. The pancetta did not overpower the dish, which takes good pancetta and honestly a passion from the chef to balance the saltiness perfectly. We finished with the beignets with a blueberry compote. What an amazing dinner!I would have preferred a cocktail over wine or beer, but the service staff wouldn’t be able to keep up with drink demands for craft cocktails. I think in keeping with their low-prep for drinks, they could have a barrel-aged Negroni, old fashioned, or Manhattan pre-made, and gin & tonic is quick and easy.”

“We loved our stay here at Tucker House. Everything was so thought out - especially for my sweet lab girl, Nova. From the cookies, treats, and doggy breakfast to the little fenced yard area for potty breaks - the stay was really pleasant. We were also able to check in much earlier than expected. This stay was also seconds from the ferry which was really convenient. Our private 2-person hot tub also made for a nice ending to the day. We would stay again!”

“I've stayed at 3 different inns/hotels on the island and the service we received from Theo at Island Inn 123 was the best by far. It's been awhile since I had visited and Theo was helpful before we even arrived on the island. We had originally booked Euro 1 and were upgraded to Penthouse 7 on arrival. I'd highly recommend the penthouses. They are super spacious and have a kitchen. Penthouse 7 had no view but did have 1.5 baths and a shower with a steam function which was great for the two cold days we were here. Tons of room for storing items. And both the sofas in Penthouse 7 were so comfy that we fell asleep on them for hours every night before we even made it to the bed. Each sofa is about the size of a twin bed and can easily accommodate an adult. And they are SO comfortable. The fireplace in the living room was a great addition as well. Rooms are super clean as well and you're just a two minute walk to the ferry. We will definitely be coming back and renting a spot with our entire family.”

“Rent the Boat House for business retreats! We regularly book the Boat House at Doe Bay for Management Team and Board Member retreats. Since we started having our retreats there we have found that they are the most productive retreats we've ever had over the ten years we've been in operation. The Boat House along with the overall experience at Doe Bay is the perfect setting for a balance of getting work done and relaxing. As part of our stay we normally will reserve a private spa session, and it's a big part of why our team looks forward to our retreats together. What better team-building activity than relaxing in the hot tub and sauna? The price for a 90-minute spa session is totally worth it and very reasonable. We love the Doe Bay management and staff, who always make sure we have what we need and make us feel at home.Features of the Boat House that are particularly notable are:- The view. It's the best view at Doe Bay (see photo, which is the view from the deck at sunrise).- The beach. Being able to step right out the downstairs door and have the beach right there is incredible. If you like being close to the beach and the water then the Boat House is hard to beat.- The kitchen: The kitchen has a huge island and big counters, spacious refrigeration, stove, etc. so that you can bring everything you need for a whole team to cook all week if that is your jam. If you forgot any ingredients you can pick up most essentials from the Doe Bay store, which is only about 100 feet away. Of course you will probably also want to go enjoy some meals at the Doe Bay Cafe, too, which features an impressive amount of local and regional ingredients, including veggies grown onsite.- The steam shower and heated bathroom floors: there is a steam shower in the master bedroom and it is amazing. Everyone on our team normally will take a turn using it during our stay, always with rave reviews. The floors in both downstairs bathrooms are heated.- Large dining table: The long dining table will accommodate 8-10 people comfortably, making it the perfect for team meetings and meals. One thing to note is in regards to sleeping spaces. For our overnight retreats we are able to sleep four people in separate spaces. There are four people on our management team, so that works well. The four beds consist of the two large bedrooms (each with king beds), a foldout couch in the downstairs (near the door that goes out to the beach), and an upstairs foldout futon. There is also a second foldout futon in the upstairs, so if you have 5 people then two people can have their own beds upstairs so long as they are comfortable sharing the same space. For larger groups, my recommendation is to book the Boat House in addition to one or more of the other cabins or yurts that are nearby, which can be offered to members of the group that want some additional privacy.”

“Wow what an amazing stay here. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Great location for exploring downtown and taking in amazing views from your bed or even tub. We enjoyed the tub with bath bomb and salts, tv with Netflix on it, warm fireplace that provided so much ambiance, view of the harbor with ferries and boats coming and going, champagne/truffle/charcuterie/wine/beer all at check in. Wow wow so amazing. Thank you!”

“This is my happy place! My favorite part of being a Wyndham owner is the ability to book this resort with my points, even though I have to pay extra for WorldMark locations. It is so quiet and peaceful and the private hot tubs are a fabulous way to unwind on Orcas Island time. This was my 5th visit and I'm already looking forward to the next time. I have only encountered kind and helpful crew members on this property.I love the walk along the water on the nearby trail, strolling the docks and visiting the little beach park to enjoy all the views surrounding the resort and marina.Island Pie, the restaurant that is essentially on site, offers delicious Italian fare. Evidently, it's under new management. They were friendly and welcoming.See you again not soon enough, Deer Harbor!”

“Everything was superb!!! The room, the hot tub and the food! I recommend the Tucker&Harisson Suites for a stay on San Juan Island. I do recommend taking advantage of the boxed lunch when touring the island.”

“Excellent stay in Friday Harbor.Visiting the islands requires delving into local business and service. I was thrilled to read reviews here & see they were worth their salt in real life. The hotel is quaint, very coastal-esque, and incredibly convenient with relationship to the ferry access and the main drags of Friday Harbor. For a first time visitor or someone just looking to be “in town,” it’s a great stay.Bed was very comfy and the pillows were awesome - a rarity in hotels anymore! Bathroom areas were clean and well stocked. Amenities included AC (in certain rooms), bath robes, and a coffee/tea supply. All of it contributed to a great experience.I came slightly in the off season of October which also made it more affordable. Would absolutely visit during this time again!”

“It's a nice place to stay for the basics. We mainly slept and had our morning coffee here. The place is more rustic than I would prefer but the price was right. The host was accommodating for our late arrival, which was nice. The neat part was the balcony overlooking the street during the day and evening. The downside is we visited during a hot spell. There is no A/C; major bummer. There was one portable fan but insufficient for all three sleeping areas. Late night and/or early morning there are some loud trucks (trash?) that pass through; they will briefly wake you. The coffee pot pours water through before it's heated. If you have multiple guests, a mirror would be nice outside the bathroom. Why four stars? I would stay here again, and be prepared for the inconveniences. I love the location. There are restaurants, literally next-door, and across the street and all the great shops are within walking distance.”

“We had a delightful stay at the Discovery Inn! The staff were friendly and always available for anything that we needed and went above and beyond to make our stay special. They shared a wealth of knowledge regarding things to do in town and around the island. The rooms have undergone a recent refresh and have microwaves, mini fridges, Keurig coffee makers with a generous supply of coffees and cocoa, and most importantly, comfy beds. We come to the San Juans at least once a year and this will be our “go-to” lodging from now on!”

“Close to the farmers market on Saturday and was at the same time. Lots of cool stuff, the owner/worker lady wasn’t behind the counter at first but when we were ready to check out she was there and very nice/friendly to our young daughter who was buying a little item.. she helped her count change and was very sweet. Worth a look!”

“We booked a last minute trip to Friday Harbor and loved staying at Earthbox! Omar checked us in and was so friendly & even gave our dog a goodie bag when we checked out! The room was comfortable, clean, exactly what we needed - and the location is great (walking distance to everything you need). Thank you for a great stay, we will be back!”

“Near the downtown, close to the grocery store, local activities, airport, and ferry, this hotel is located just far enough from the usual town noise.Great service, clean rooms, very friendly personnel. The decent size kitchen has a large fridge, microwave, electrical kettle, and sink. Large suite has a dining room for 4 people. This time, we were staying in the double king bed suit. There is a large and spacious living room with a gas fireplace, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Each room has enough closet space.I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.”

“Cute rooms although ours could've used a dusting. There were a few cobwebs in the room and bathroom which lowered the overall appeal. Listing on Expedia said we would have a King bed, but our room actually had a Queen.Rooms: Cute, could've used a dustingFood & drinks: Island Pie is amazingNoteworthy details: 15 min drive from Eastsound”
