First time for apartment living, management is great! Appliances need updated, but are functional. Laundry facilities need an update as well! Lucky if you find a dryer that works. Parking spaces should be marked with apartment number, lucky to find a spot most nights. Children shouldn't be upstairs, they jump around way too much. Surprised they haven't come thru the floor/ceiling yet. But, hey, I'm just happy to have a roof over my head.

Yeah. The management is not good.

Lived here for a year while in school. Repairs were prompt when you gave proper detail of the problem at hand. Everyone I dealt with was very polite too. Rent was also well priced.

Everything about it was okay (below average or average). 1 star review because our apartment walls were covered in black mold and obviously just painted over. Once the mold got through the paint we had a moldy apartment. Lease agreement pushed all mold issues onto the tenant.

Office Manager is really bad, I know I haven't paid the lease yet. But they don't have to send me a 2 reminder paper on a same week. My neighbor is really annoying and I never said anything, they hangout with a loud music until 4 and I let that go for a month. When I hang out with my friend until 11 and we are not that loud. The next day I got called that my unit is being loud.

The maintenance guy is really nice. They technically have a system for putting in a ticket for maintenance, but he introduced himself when I moved in and said "Call me anytime." The ladies who work in the office are really nice. Some of my furniture arrived early before I moved in and they held it in their office before I was able to move out there, which was huge. All in all nice place, nice people.

The office manager is extremely rude, has been the entire time I’ve lived here. And they don’t answer questions and never solve the problems.

Every time I tried to move out of this place, I always ended up back! I would get cocky and think I found a better deal somewhere else, since these are pricey for only one bathroom, but I would end up regretting it and move back in the next year. The bad: The apartments are expensive for what you get. The rooms are decently sized but the one tiny bathroom is a pain. Even the more expensive Park apartments only have one (much larger) bathroom! Because of the way they do the move in fees, with only part of it considered a deposit, don't expect much back. We typically got charged $50+ after a year living there and we cleaned afterwards (I guess not as well as we thought!) The laundry room is a nightmare Sunday evenings so expect every dryer to be taken the entire night or prepare to battle someone for the working machines. We ended up paying like $75 a month just to get a washer and dryer in our Park apartment... The fridges are old and sometimes the freezer leaks into the fridge... The meh: Buy your own AC, they charge you $50 a month for them and by 3-4 months you could have just bought a better one and kept it. Just make sure they still are ok with this. They even helped us install ours! The good: They allow large pets! We only had two cats but our neighbors even had German Shepherds! Any place that allows breeds that typically get banned, gets my love. The laundry room takes credit cards! Not having to search for quarters the night before school = win. There's also two laundry rooms (one at Park and one at Place) if you really need to find an open machine. Aaand if worse comes to worse, there's a Laundromat right next door (also useful if you need giant, heavy stuff washed.) Decent sized rooms with regular sized closest, decent dishwashers, a little store next door, Wing Central next door, easy bike paths and walking paths to school, and a lot more things I miss. All three apartments we moved into (Place, Park, then Place again) were very clean. You can pay rent with a credit card! So if you're on financial aid and unable to pay rent at the beginning of each quarter, you can survive by temporarily throwing it on a credit card. And the staff is usually understanding about waving late fees (if you talk to them first) at the start of each quarter. The staff were awesome! We rarely had an issue that wasn't fixed immediately. When we moved back, because they remembered us, they were incredibly generous and waved a bunch of move-in fees. They were always friendly and for the most part they left us alone unless we needed them. Watch for their summer deals if you're moving in. Sometimes they'll wave an entire month of rent or give you half off! Unlike a lot of apartments in the area, the good really outweighs the bad by a lot!

University park is honestly the best place I've lived since moving to Ellensburg. The staff is extremely friendly, and when we moved in the place was spotless. Maintenance is great to work with- every time we have submitted a request, they have fixed it the same day. It is very close to campus, and the market on the corner is of ultimate convenience for late-night store runs. Parking right in front of your apartment is alway accessible despite not having assigned parking, and it is the quietest living community I've ever lived within. The only downside is not having in-unit laundry machines (or hook ups). I've never had a problem with anyone taking my laundry, but it can be frustrating having to go over there to switch all the machines and wait for your turn. We also were fortune enough to get an apartment with a yard, and although we love having the yard, it is flooded with leaves which we were informed maintenance would do all yard work routinely (not a big deal obviously, but our dog tracks in leaves daily). Other than that, I have no complaints! It is a fantastic place to live.

My husband and I have lived here now for a couple of months and would say that it is an okay place to live. The apartments are super close to the university which is nice, there is a laundry room here for use, printer in the common room and the maintenance is fast. Our only complaints are that when we moved in the cabinets in the kitchen stunk and made all of our glasses and other dishes stink too. There is no air conditioning and the heaters work but not well. That may be due to the apartment not being insulated well enough. New hard wood floors were installed before we moved in, but other than that the apartment feels very small and outdated. I definitely think the price is way too high for what is offered, but you are right next to the university so that might be why. It is nice having laundry on site, but the laundry room is always filthy, the washers have mold inside of them and look like they are never cleaned out, so make sure to bring a wet rag to clean yourself before using.

University Park and Place has the most unprofessional, avaricious management. Their goal is clear: simply lure you with services they fail to provide, they cheat you over by not following the contract and charging you extra fees. They will not return any deposit, no matter how well you take care of your apartment. Don't fall for their sales tactics! All they want is money from you, and not comforting hospitality.

I lived here for two years without a problem. Then Pam left, and this place couldn't be worse! BEWARE DON'T RENT HERE! Not only did they raise my rent by $100 without giving me 30 days written notice, they also lost my lease once. Literally lost it. Nichole couldn't care less about the tenants, and they are all about money. They decided to charge me extra for living in a managers apartment, which I had no idea about until they said something. They also decided to charge me $75 for having a washer and dryer in the apartment. These charges were never mentioned in my lease. My roommate decided to move out unexpectedly, I asked if I could pay for both halves of the rent at the newly raised price ($1000) for one month after my lease expired so I could try and find a new roommate. THEY SAID NO. They would charge me ANOTHER $200 FOR BEING 'MONTH TO MONTH.' They couldn't care less, and they will take every penny you have!

I can honestly say this was one of my favorite places I lived at during my time at Central Washington University. I ended up living here for two and a half years. It was pretty peaceful and clean. Maintenance was always fast to fix any issues. It was clean when I moved in. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful. Parking was never an issue. The only thing that is kind of a bummer is you have to do laundry at their laundry mat and there have been times people have taken laundry if it is unattended. There is also no AC but you can rent one from management. It's was super close to school too so I never needed a parking pass. I totally recommend living here is you are a student at central but I know a lot of families live here also. I had an old lady living next door to me and she was super sweet (: I didn't get my deposit back but I had been there for two and a half years and a previous roommate had also kicked holes in their door.

My roommates and i lived here for one year. The place was dirty when we moved in, cds in cabinets, holes in closets, stains on the floor, and the inside of the oven was filthy. We hated it here though! it was small, thin walls, and dirty. We notified them about moving out a month before leaving and even after we moved out they tried to charge us rent even when in their records they have that we moved out/gave notice on time. They kept our whole deposit and even tried to charge us $200 extra for things that were already dirty/broken when we moved in. The ladies that work in the office seem clueless/careless about anything that goes such as their cleaning/walk through processes and charges made to our unit. Do not live here!!

These apartments were insanely bad. They are small and very cheaply made, making the walls thin and everything is very bad quality. The manager is horrible and drives a golf cart around the parking lot, even to go like two doors down. They are way too expensive for what they are worth, even though the manager makes it sound like the best place to live ever. This is not true!! My roommate and I are quiet people, didn't party and kept our apartment clean the whole year. However, they kept our whole deposit AND charged us extra! It's obvious they are just after your money. Don't be fooled, DO NOT rent from these people, there are much much much better and more reasonably priced apartments in Ellensburg. If this review stops even one person from renting from University Place, I will be happy!
