Booked online and prepaid the rental. Picked up SUV at the Paine Field airport. The SUV wasn't vacuumed at all...with dog hair and paw marks on the floors. My husband spent an hour cleaning it because he was worried someonevin our group might get sick since we all have allergies. We took pictures upon pick up and took pictures when we returned the vehicle. Good thing my hubby thought of taking a video of him dropping off the keys in their drop box. Because three days later I get a charge of $100+ dollars on my credit card. I immediately called Budget and they claimed we didn't return the car until two days later. Noleen from customer service claims she will investigate and call me in two days. When I didn't get the call, I called again and got a different person and explained my story again. After hanging up, I emailed all our proof. I still haven't received my refund. Our rental was 3 weeks ago. Will NEVER rent here again. BUYERS BEWARE: Wish I read the reviews sooner because it looks like this location keeps on doing this to customers. There are other reviews with the same experience as mine. The employees are too lazy to check their rental cars to confirm when you returned your rental. They will just charge you because you can complain later anyway. They don't even clean or vacuum their cars! Will never rent to Budget or Avis again. Will report them next to BBB if I don't get my refund anytime soon. And yes, they have lots of complaints on BBB as well. Horrible company to deal with.

I was thoroughly displeased with Budget Rental Car of Paine Field/Lynnwood.There is a clear pattern of problems at this Budget location, and I regret not heeding the warnings from other customers in their reviews. However eventually I was made whole by someone of upper management.

Scheduled a reservation on line a week ago . I got the confirmation # and pick up location and time and day . I scheduled my move to so this and to get here and be told did I make it here ? Then I showed the number to the man at the counter to be told they don’t have a truck available to call buget they’re sorry . Waisted my day off and time and now have to take off work again and also have to move all around my schedule cause they sell moving truck to multiple people and don’t have a clue what’s going on ! Yet there’s so many trucks !

Disappointed my rental needed oil change, light came on first hour of trip. Also got charged extra 34.55 late charge when I returned it 35 minutes early with more gas than when I picked it up. Thankfully I took a picture of dash with time and date so I can try to be reimbursed..

The hours posted online were not the same as the actual hours, so when we went to return the car, they were already closed and we had to make another trip the next day. The service couldn’t be any slower. True rating is a big fat zero!

Im very disappointed with Everett Washington's Payne field office. If I have the choice in rental car companies budget will not be on the list. Charged a cleaning fee because they had to vacuum out the vehicle. Unfortunately effort had to be taken to ready the vehicle, you couldn't just turn and burn. Hope it was worth it. I'm talking shit to everybody how you unjustly back charge for frivolous things. Unprofessional!

Terrible experience with the Budget location in Everett, WA (on Highway 99 near Paine Field). I reserved a car the day before my trip and called ahead to ask about getting from the airport to the rental office. The employee I spoke with, Reggie, was extremely rude and dismissive, but told me my car would be waiting at the Paine Field airport location as long as my flight number was included — which it was.
When I arrived at the airport, they had no record of my reservation. I explained the situation and showed my confirmation, but the team there refused to help. The manager, Brian, wouldn’t give me his last name and instead had Reggie call me and cancel the reservation completely — despite plenty of cars being available. Other customers were being helped and handed keys while I was told to leave. It was beyond unprofessional.
As a result, I had to pay $150 for a rideshare to SeaTac, spend $200 more on a last-minute rental from another company, and arrived five hours late to my destination after sitting in traffic both ways. The staff showed zero concern, took no responsibility, and treated me like I didn’t matter.
I will never use Avis/Budget again and highly recommend avoiding this location if you value your time, money, or basic respect as a customer.

Do not rent from here. They are currently falsely accusing me of failing to return a moving truck. I rented a truck and returned it on the same day but they refuse to check the security cameras to prove I dropped it off. This has been a nightmare.

Wow. Doesn't even deserve one star, zero should be a thing. Avoid trying to rent here at ALL COSTS. It is well worth it to pay 10-20 dollars more to a more reputable company and not have to deal with the absolute mess they have going on here.
I was supposed to pick up a car at 9am, I show up at 9am to get my car and am told it wont be ready yet, and they will give me a call. This was after being hung up on while on hold and blamed for making the reservation wrong. Come noon I still have not received any information so I call them, they tell me I will not get a car today unless I can take a Tesla with only 170 mile range. The trip I am going on requires 300 mile+ range so this is unacceptable.
Terribly run business. Incredibly rude employees. They should just shut down this location as they clearly don't have enough cars/staff to keep it in proper operation. Horrible experience all around 0/10
