I rarely leave a one star review but people should be warned about this pharmacy. My prescriptions were messed up on occasion during the past three years but we stayed because it was convenient. Recently though, things have really gone downhill. This past prescription refill they only filled half. Then said the second half would be in on the following Monday. I got the text to come pick it up and when I arrived it wasn’t there. I was told I should call every time before coming in to pick up the prescription. They then said it would be in on Friday. Fast forward another week and called again and they still do not have it. They told us we could call around to other Safeways in the region to see if anyone else has it. We asked why they couldn’t do that and they said their system won’t let them. We called the local Albertsons and they found a second box of my medication and already have it delivered from another store in a single afternoon. I’m so grateful to the Albertsons in Gig Harbor. This is a medication that is dangerous to miss a dose and I have almost run out. I’m worried about the other customers who go to this pharmacy. I strongly recommend going elsewhere for safety reasons. I’m not sure what’s going on over there and I like to give the benefit of the doubt but it just isn’t safe to remain with them any longer. Btw, they charged my insurance for the entire prescription and it isn’t cheap!

Where to begin? Extraordinarily long wait times. Often out of meds. Offering "free" COVID tests then tell you- we will bill your insurance. If no insurance they charge $13.00 for a test that the US govt has provided free to distribute!

Very helpful and friendly staff. People need to realize that when there is a shortage of some prescriptions drugs it’s not the pharmacy fault if they don’t have it in stock. Other than that they try hard to get the prescriptions off to you as soon as possible.

Not what it use to be. I don’t know if they were bought out or what but all the staff changed and service went down the tube. I changed to Amazon pharmacy. Much cheaper and delivered to my door.

Worse pharmacy. Been going there 15 years, called today about my meds that were called in yesterday then they said they would be ready by 4pm, get there and were told they were out and weren't going to get that medication anymore! What kind of pharmacy doesnt get meds. Called another pharmacy and they have them, safeway said they were out, then they said they would be in on monday and then said they wont be getting them at all in the same conversation. We will be transferring all our meds to Olympic. These meds I cant just stop taking. Don't bother going there. They had the best pharmacist for a long time until he quit now they have a bunch of inadequate employees that could of easily told me they were out when I called 2 different times today. I'm not understanding how they can say they wont be getting a well know drug in anymore, makes no sense. I've been wanting to leave there for while because of really bad customer service and this was the final draw! I need to add this......we took my perscriptions over to Olympic pharmacy, now Safeway pharmacy worker said my insurance company would only pay for a 7 day supply instead of my month supply and that made no sense, I've been getting them for 15 years, so Olympic charged my insurance for the full month for only 12.00 and Safeway has been charging me way more! So be aware because I don't think anyone knows what they are doing and I guarentee more customers are be charged incorrectly. And to tell us 3 different answers, they dont have any, they wont get them until Monday, then they wont be carrying them ,all on the same visit is rediculous. And a couple people ahead of us got the same medication they said they didnt have. The new pharmacist was rude, said 3 different answers and we have always been treated nice there until the other pharmacist quit and the other helper quit too and both left to work at a better place. Now they are treating people like we are a inconvenience and dont care that if I run out of this medication get very sick. My husband switched to Olympic and I just made the switch today. Hope this helps everyone and be aware of overcharging and wrong information!

I have been using this pharmacy for years and am always happy with the level of Customer Service that I receive both over the phone & in person. If they are not able to get a medication due to the shortage of supplies, they are always ready to suggest alternatives with my Dr.

This pharmacy has the Rudest woman servicing people walking in for vaccines. Their ad says walk ins welcome. There nothing welcoming about this person. I don't care if they are short on help, there is no way people want to do business with employees like this.Her words go sit in the waiting room for one and one hours and don't leave or hour and a half starts over. If you like it get an app. - one person in the waiting room. She is not welcoming.

After receiving txt my meds are ready, only one is ready and am told the other won’t be ready for 30 minutes. 10 minutes later, 5 minutes after I leave, I receive txt that other meds are ready. Then I make make special trip at lunch, and am told they can’t provide meds because their computer is down and don’t know when it will be fixed. No more using Safeway pharmacy!

Honestly some of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. I understand when it's busy to be short and to the point, but here it doesn't matter what time of day or how many people are in line. Zero customer service, if you hate your job you should find a new one.

Never have my meds ready. Come on. I'm coming every two weeks for my meds for months and months and months now and you guys never have them. " O we have to order them" again... You know I'm coming for em and gonna be why wouldn't you order enough to have for your clients. Really unprofessional. I'd say do your business with a other pharmacy. I need to switch and quit being lazy and using this horrible not the sharpest cookies / pharmacist in the ol shed if ya know what mean. Go elsewhere. Probably wouldn't be hard to get better service just about anywhere else.

Every time I go and see Amy for a breakfast burrito in the deli, I'm left with the most amazing feeling of genuine connection and love. Amy also makes the most delicious burrito! I'm left feeling so grateful to have crossed paths with her. I'll always go out of my way to come to this Safeway exclusively, if Amy is working. She's a good one, treat her so well.
