Worst “customer service” experience I have ever had! They don’t even deserve 1 star. I rarely write reviews, but I want to do what little I can to warn others to avoid trying to deal with USPS or at least this branch. I specifically say “trying to deal with”, because it’s pointless. The 2 people I eventually spoke to via phone were rude, continually spoke over and interrupted me. The last person refused to work with me or lift a finger. She/they literally said USPS is not paid to make deliveries! There was next to no logic coming out of her mouth. They did nothing but give me headaches and waste my time! I’d explain more, but bottom line is they do not care at all and you very well may never receive your package.

They never deliver packages anymore, ever! They always leave a note saying no secure location. We have a safe an covered doorstep. Amazon, FedEx,UPS, all the other deliveries we get on our doorstep just fine. Do better USPS!

23 years I have lived here with the same PO Box. Hundreds of returned items as "non-deliverable". Honestly. Literally. The hours I have spent on the phone having letters and documents resent, over and over and over. I have had litigation started against me because of failed response to notices I've never seen. You get used to it and deal with it if you want to live in Kalama I guess.

WOW Kalama post office will charge you a $3 sorting fee if you do not have a mail box and there is no PO Box number on your package because they have to look your name up in the hard copy file to find your PO BoX number .So a random package was sent and it was a bag of jelly beans from a junk mail system , I pay $100 a year for a PO Box and now they want $3 dollars to sort it to my P.O. Box .This is not a government thing this is Kalama post office charging this fee .I thought there job was to sort mail and deliver it ?So I will refuse it next time they still sort it but don’t get $3 bucks from meThat makes sense .And Who’s this new kid .Small town turning into big Buisness now .No wonder Kalama post office rating is 1.1 in reviews I’m sure they don’t careThey still get their retirement from us .Just like the politicians.0 Stars option was not available but this way to good for that facility still .

I was inquiring about a package I was expecting and I felt I was treated very rudely when I called with a question, and when I went in there to talk to her in person. She kept repeating the same three sentences over and over and over, not paying attention to my question and then accusing me of losing keys and not picking my mail on time! I said I know nothing of what you are talking about! If there is a problem, why hasn't the mailman let me know? Oh they wouldn't. Then how can I correct a problem, if I don't even know there is a problem?! Anyway, I made a call to the company, and apparently they made a mistake in that they hadn't sent the product to me yet! We need to treat each other with respect. There was no reason for her to be so nasty to me. And "listen". . . she kept repeating that the key etc. was in my box. Yes I said. I picked that up yesterday. . . . she wasn't on my page. . . she wasn't helpful, and she wasn't listening to my questions, and I feel that she was very rude. You don't need to treat a customer like that! She started threatening me, that if I don't pick up my packages, that they won't deliver them anymore, etc. etc. Had no idea there was such animosity or such a problem with me! If things are as bad as she says they are (even though you do not have your listening ears on) you need to let the party know. Oh no, she says, we don't do that. Oh you just say nothing and complain to one another? That's mature! She doesn't know if there has been any traumas that have happen recently where I could not pick up my mail DAILY. . . .(and there have been!) and she didn't have to be as nasty as was. What a bad attitude for someone who is supposedly serving the public!

I would rather drive to a neighboring town to get my mail. Post Master is a SNAKE!!! Glad there is another option available in Kalama now.

We mail thousands of the same package out every week. The process for this exact item was set up directly with the post office. For some reason, this postmaster in Kalama, WA is unaware of shippo and the services they offer and have worked with the US Government to put it together. So she tried to collect an additional $8.76 postage on a prepaid package. Then she told me that despite me sending out over 100, 000 of these throughout the US in the past year, all the same, and never having an issue, she knows more than everyone else and is right!

I went to pick up my packages with tracking number showing available to pick up at post office. When I arrive the lady with short bangs wouldn't even look at tracking number. She said "there are too many packages here I cannot go through to get yours." I'm confused because if your package has arrived, awaiting pick up is it not your job to get the packages out?

I was just in with my two children (2 and 7 months) I was alone and struggling to hold my child and package and wallet etc. not only was the woman on staff incredibly rude but she was so unhelpful and just cruel in my opinion. I never expect people to handle my children or treat me different because they are with me. However in this instance I had spent over 20 minutes trying to write a customs paper and struggling to control my toddler and hold my baby and finally I thought it had been finished so I again wait in line and go up to her and she points out I was missing a word at the bottom. Rather than offer to simply write the single word she insisted I do it myself and also exit the line to do so. Meaning I would need to wait all over again. I also needed to write the address on the package which I didn’t realise as I figured it would be on the label she printed. Again no offer of help. It would take her 10 seconds whereas for me I had to leave and couldn’t do it. After being there nearly a half an hour with two kids which is far from easy. I’m furious and upset that common decency seems to be nonexistent for this person. She was short and rude with others whilst I was there. I wish I’d gotten her name but was so flustered and upset I didn’t. I did however cry in my car after leaving. ?

These two diplomas are accurate visual representations of the consistent low quality of services provided by this office.

I went out to the mailbox today only to discover that the Post Office had allowed another person who does not live on our street to put a mailbox in. They had to move a 100 pound rock to put the mailbox in. The rock is one of many to border a flower bed around the tree. The mailbox in question could have been put at the other end of the line if necessary. There was no reason to dislodge that rock. That is my property I maintain it and water it and care for it. Why are people allowed to put mailboxes on streets they do not live on. Why don't people have mailboxes at their houses and mail delivered to them because this Post Office is too stupid to drive up roads and deliver mail obviously.
