“The lady who runs this food bank reasures people that bullying is not tolerated, I really like that. Whenever I say hi to her she always says hi back to me. She may not always be happy or cheerful, everyone always has a bad day here or there. Please be courteous and remember to say thank you. She is also a mom.”

“This place is awesome, unlike Goodwill they actually care about the community and their employees. Always friendly service, and smiling workers with professional attitudes, again unlike Goodwill. Prices are fair. I plan to take all of my donations to them.”

“This is a great town fair! It is kicked off with a parade through town. Many departments like HomEc, canning, floral, hobbies, etc. There is always a fun collection of animals (large and small). Food booths. Entertainment on stage. Games for the kids. Fun for everyone! Don't miss it.”

“Nice people and a nice place. I volunteer here, and I have never heard of anyone who wasn't great to work with or any client who wasn't happy for what we can offer them. Come see us if things are getting tight, we would love to help you! And check our thrift store in town as well. Great things and it helps everything move forward.”

“This is the best Thrift store in Longview in my opinion. Always smells clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. If they see you come in or leave they always acknowledge you with a greeting or a goodbye.. and thanks for their support for the “Emergency Support Shelter and Parents Place”.. Bravo!!”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Emergency Support Shelter. My children and I stayed here for three months during one of the most difficult periods of our lives, and the staff supported us with compassion, dignity, and genuine care.

They helped me secure scholarships so I could continue my education, walked with me through court proceedings, answered every question I had, even when I was overwhelmed, and truly wanted to see me succeed. I never felt judged or alone. They provided safety, stability, and emotional support when we needed it most.

Because of this shelter, my children and I have a foundation to rebuild and move forward. I will always be grateful for the incredible work they do for survivors and families in crisis. Thank you for giving us not only shelter, but hope.”
