Taking Root Nursery is a wonderful hidden gem with an amazing and impressive selection of plants. It offers a great, broad, and interesting selection of both common and unique, obscure, or uncommon varieties, including natives and perennials. The nursery is bigger and goes way back further than expected. The person running it is very knowledgeable, entertaining, and personable, taking time to help customers select the right plants. Prices are more than reasonable, great, and outstanding, offering an amazing deal. It is a local company worth supporting. Patience is advised as only one person works there. Note that it is cash only and open on weekends. Many customers state it is their new favorite place and they will absolutely be going back.

Cathy has the best selection of plants and prices, plus her home garden is amazing. Definitely check this nursery out and support a local, long time Kenmore resident. She does take cash only.

What are wonderful hidden gem! The woman who owns this nursery is so entertaining and really knows her plants! The prices are more than reasonable and there is a nice selection of plants. Definitely going back!
