I visited this REI on September 1st around 5:30 pm and bought my very first pair of trail shoes here! This one is the last one at my size.
A lovely young woman in the footwear section patiently brought me many options, explained the details, and helped me find the perfect pair. At the register, another friendly young woman kindly introduced the membership service to us. Both of them were so kind, professional, and warm. I’m really grateful for their help — they made this a very special experience for me.

Ordered something for pickup, they processed it to deliver. My address is new so it gets delivered to the wrong house and they keep the packages which is why i explicitly asked for in store pickup. Customer service number is always on hold, ill just have to spend double the money and buy this from a competent store in Portland. Sounds like an honest mistake on their part but the service after the fact is minimal, they just send you to an automated phone number.

The REI store in Kennewick displays the usual excellent outdoor products that REI is known for. The store is very user-friendly. The aisles are wide, and there is a feeling of freedom and space. There is a full range of outdoor items, from the typical to the unique.

It's a very small outlet store & I never brought anything here since other bigger REI has a much larger selection of stuff compared to this one.

Tried to purchase a pair of climbing shoes, the website said they were in stock and would be shipped by 6/7. It is now 6/26 and still no shoes. They have refunded and charged me three times for this one order. Such a waste of time, I needed new climbing shoes a month ago and am still stuck with holey shoes and unable to send my project because of rei ? never shopping here again. Save yourself the headache and just order from the manufacturer, the tiny discount is not worth the wait.

Had a great shopping experience here. Was surprised by the shoe and hiking boot selection. Lots of great brands, every size, as well as kids choices. Staff were super helpful and also I seemed like we were working with someone who specialized in shoes, which is way better than trying to buy online and have no idea what’s going to work. The store had lots of other great deals, large clothing selection as well as all the hiking and camping gear you could need. Will return, highly recommend.
