“This school attracts and keeps extremely dedicated and knowledgeable teachers. They continually make improvements to their facility, and the food program is incredible beyond belief with diverse and healthy food.”
“This preschool has been a wonderful community for my son. The teachers are loving and supportive and my son comes home each day excited and happy and telling me stories of his day. My son was with a nanny for his first 3 years, threw big tantrums, and had really no friends when he started in Tree Frogs. Within a few weeks of starting Small Faces his language and expression blossomed and his tantrums died down. Within a couple of months he had formed close friendships with a few other kids in his class. The kids spend upwards of 3 hours outside each day on an amazing playground. Most preschools don't have this kind of outside space so it is a real benefit. The teaching team and leadership have strong guiding principals and teaching philosophies. Although the policies seem to be a little overdone sometimes, I appreciate that there are clear policies and transparency around those policies so we know what to expect. Overall this has been a wonderful, high quality preschool for our family.”
“My three (now teen) children went to The Island School from Kindergarten to 5th grade. The teachers spent time getting to know what made each of my children unique. Because of this school, my children know themselves, how they learn best and that they matter. We still spend many family dinners reminiscing about Island School memories including Monday Morning Sing, Cultural Study, the Science Fair Egg Drop, Junk Art, Fletcher...so many fabulous memories!!! This is an absolutely fabulous school!”

“As a former employee at Agape, I can affirm that it's the best childcare center I've had the pleasure of working for! It centers development, friendship/family, diversity, and the overall health/wellness of the children in care. The place is cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis, so I felt very comfortable sitting on the floor with my students to engage with them and take off my shoes. The director, Linda is everything you would hope for in someone running a facility like this one--kindhearted and joyous with an emphasis on order and correspondence with the families. I always felt as though I was supported and had plenty of resources to introduce my students to the world around them while having so much fun! I'm very impressed with how ready the pre-k students are for kindergarten after being there for their first years in life. They are incredibly bright!! This has got to be one of the best places to watch a kid grown up.”

“I went to this school as did my sister, and we both had great experiences here. The teachers and staff are excellent, and I go there now to volunteer and teach programming classes to kids.”

“I never attended the school, but the surrounding area in the summer is fun for children to play in. The track is also great for a workout. Plenty of trails between both schools to walk through.”
“An inviting and warm place for kids! They always have a great variety of class offerings for children and sometimes even adults! I like the tutoring and homework clubs, but they have French and German classes as well as preschool and parent education! Such a great place to learn!”
“My 5 year old thoroughly enjoyed her class and has been asking to go back ever since. It's tough to find good drop off options in Seattle so I am really happy to find one that's so close to us in Bitter Lake, North Seattle. Grace is wonderful, patient and has such great lesson plans to engage the children. I'm looking forward to more sessions and can't wait to see what else my daughter will be creating. Will also want to send my younger one when she is old enough. She was definitely disappointed that her older sister got to have so much fun and she missed out cos she is only 1!”

“My 4-year old has been going to Alpha for over a year now. The staff is great. They all have a lot of experience with the little ones, which was quickly evident to me as my little one is quite shy and needed some coaxing to stay. The teachers are always enthusiastic to engage with the kiddos, very caring and introducing new and fun topics. My daughter was excited to share facts about planets that she learned in school. She enjoys a range of indoor and outdoor activities, including crafts, writing, math at Alpha. She's always excited to bring her work home and show it to us. A monthly parent's night out is also a nice thing they offer. We took a little break last term but still attended the monthly parent's night out as my daughter really enjoyed seeing her community. We are now back full time!”
