About DOP STRENGTH GYM
DOP Strength Gym is a one-of-a-kind gym focused on powerlifting and weightlifting. It is fantastic for powerlifters, weightlifters, or anyone looking for a spot to get a workout in. The gym features amazing, competition-grade equipment, including Rogue KG plates, a huge variety of bars, deadlift platforms, deadlift jacks, and a chalk bowl. The layout is impressive and it has everything you could want, with a dedicated spot for Olympic-style lifting. The atmosphere is good and serious, with no gym foolery; everyone takes lifting seriously. People get hyped up and yell, so you don't have to lift quietly. Many members are powerlifting referees or compete, and they know how to help you improve your form. The people that run it are cool. It is open 24/7 and is never really that crowded, except on weekday afternoons, though even then it's not bad. It is often empty on Sundays. You can play your own music on an iPad provided. However, the gym has its flaws. The biggest complaint is the lack of air conditioning, which makes it brutal in the summer. Fans just push the hot air around. The monthly fee is considered expensive for a place that is not that big or nice. Overall, the staff could be more friendly. Some regulars can be cliquey and cold towards new people, creating a clique-ish vibe, though a couple of people are friendly and welcoming. Despite these issues, it is a solid, good gym and the place to go if you are serious about powerlifting and getting strong. It is way better than other local gyms and worth checking out.

DOP is a one of a kind gym with amazing equipment and competition grade weights (Rogue KG plates). For anyone looking to get into the Powerlifting scene, I cannot recommend this gym enough!

I really like DOP for powerlifting and powerlifting training. Most of the people that train here are powerlifting refs or powerlift competitively or both and they know how to help you improve on form.

Good gym. Overall staff could be more friendly and wish the heat/ac worked, but other than that is solid. Would avoid weekday mornings as there are issues with
