“Great CrossFit community in Kirkland, Seattle. Coach Elmer was warm and friendly, made sure everyone including newbies/ drop-ins said hello to one another before starting the workout. A thorough walkthrough of the WOD and warmup.”

“Love Lake Washington CrossFit, especially the strongman workouts. They’re fun, challenging, and always keep things interesting. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or brand new to the sport, you’ll feel right at home. The community is super supportive no matter your level, and the vibe is relaxed—lots of laughs while still getting a great workout in. Definitely a place where you feel welcome and want to keep coming back.”

“I credit this amazing woman and facility for changing my life! Been working out here since around start of pandemic and continue to drive all the way from Everett to Totem Lake despite no longer working in that area! She is that good! Virtual classes are offered but I find the energy she brings to the space makes it totally worth the drive to experience in person. Thank you Marissa for being you!!!!”

“I started coming to Kutting Edge Fitness in 2020. I saw an article in the Seattle Times that mentioned them and I was in need of a safe place to workout during the COVID epidemic. Going to a location with a maximum of four people working out in a large space without the need to share equipment was about as safe as you can get. Kutting Edge has excellent trainers. The workouts are customized to fit the client's needs. In my case, emphasis on balance and strength were most important. Communications with Kutting Edge are excellent: very easy to book appointments online and if I need to reach out, I get a response quickly. They are as professional as you can get! I highly recommend this facility for the best in personal attention and getting the results wanted.”

“DOP is a one of a kind gym with amazing equipment and competition grade weights (Rogue KG plates). For anyone looking to get into the Powerlifting scene, I cannot recommend this gym enough!”

“It's a great gym. However, I have been personally victimized by 2 GIANT spiders on 2 separate occasions. I would like to apologize to anyone whose ear drums I burst while screaming bloody murder. Please use some kind of insect repellent, I highly doubt they pay gym dues anyways!”

“I've been a member for several years and love this club. If you have young kids, you won't find a better kids club & kids activities than what Columbia offers.”

“I cannot recommend this LA Fitness enough! It is an amazing gym that easily meets the highest standards for anyone serious about getting in shape. They have a fantastic variety of top-notch equipment, and the entire facility is kept consistently clean and well-maintained.
Beyond the excellent workout space, the customer service here is unmatched. The managers and the entire staff are incredibly professional, friendly, and always willing to help out. It has such a welcoming, positive environment that makes you actually look forward to your workouts. A flawless 5-star experience overall!”

“Updating after 3+ years, for people looking for somewhere to lift:

I think I frustrated myself reading some of the 1 star reviews from some folks who sound a bit entitled and frustrated to not get their way. So here's an updated [still 5 star] review from someone who's been a morning regular for the last 3+ years. I'm also leaving the gym (due to a move), so I have no extra incentive to write something nice.

The morning/afternoon:
- Never too crowded / rarely ever any wait for a squat rack or deadlifting platform
- Is always clean
- Almost everyone cleans their machines because the gym makes it easy (everyone gets a spray bottle and hand towel)
- I think it might be the cheapest lifting gym in the area
- Staff and members are always friendly. idgaf if I'm greeted, but they always greet me (I mention this because some 1 stars mention it). If they don't like you, it might be you. When I've taken the time to know a staff member's name they've always taken the time to remember mine (or at least read it off the computer screen and pretend like they remember).

If you're in the area, the other big box gym option is LA Fitness and though it's been a few years since I've been to that location, my experience there was overcrowded, expensive, and lack of people wiping down their machines. Your experience could be different, but that's why I made my decision and I've been happy with it.”
