“Dupont is the best office for service! Unfortunately, since new PMG decided to consolidate all carriers to larger facility in Tumwater, communication for delivery situations need to report your issue on the USPS.com website. It is a very busy office for passports, so avoid Mondays and Fridays, and for this reason, they won't have time to answer your phone calls. Again, best to use the website! Walk in for passports are ALL WEEK, appointments not necessary ?
If you're still bent on complaining about the service, you haven't seen nothing yet!! Wait til Elon Skunk privatizes and tears it apart!”

“The best USPS location! Had my 2 kids passport appointment here and we were helped by Tanay. She was pleasant and the passport application process was seamless. We were in and out of there in about 10mins tops for both kids.”

“This is hands down the best post office I’ve ever visited. The service is consistently excellent, and the staff is truly exceptional—always kind, knowledgeable, and respectful. Every customer is treated with dignity, and you can tell they take real pride in their work. Even when I'm across town, I go out of my way to come here because I know I’ll be treated well and my mail will be handled with care. Truly a standout location!”

“I miss Arnie, he was always kind and helpful to me. But he's gone now, today is Thursday, Feb 23, 2023, and not even a holiday, and this post office's window NEVER OPENED TODAY. No staff, no explanation was posted. No one to take PO box rent payments, sell stamps, or collect payments to mail packages. Our locking mailboxes on the street are constantly getting broken into; we need our PO boxes and services. My issue is with their bosses: What is the postmaster trying to accomplish? Alienate and drive away customers? I feel punished as a Steilacoom resident, Mr Postmaster. We are 6000+ residents here who need this Post Office to remain open and functional.”
“The United States Postal Service provided excellent service. The employee I interacted with was very nice, friendly, and professional. They went out of their way to be helpful, answering all my questions with patience and a smile. It made the whole experience quick and pleasant. I truly appreciate their kindness and dedication to customer service.”

“I was lucky to go to the post office when there were only 3 people in line. I had 12 large manilla envelopes to mail. It took 10 minutes from entering the post office to getting back into my car. Service was pleasant. There are so many questions and answers for mailing each packet, it gets kind of confusing if you are tired. The good news is that I mailed everything I needed to! It was a good time to go at 3 pm.”
“This is my favorite Post Office! I just love the atmosphere and people. I have become quite fond of Diane Barnes. She is always so positive and helpful! No matter how much stress, she never lets it show. I wish there were more people like her in this world. Such a ray of sunshine.”

“After first visit here this will now be my go-to post office. Only downside may be that there’s no dedicated parking lot and they do close for lunch. It is a small office so be patient when it comes to reopening from lunchtime. Come early in the morning or late afternoon and you’ll be good to go. Hardly ever a wait.”
“This U.S. Post Office is conveniently located on Mountain Highway just north of O’reilly Auto Parts.
Two entrances/exits make for a pretty seamless merge back into traffic heading north or south on Mountain Hwy.
Friendly staff at the counter. Always willing to take your package/letter at the counter quickly if you don’t need a receipt. They’re also quick to help even if you do need more than just a simple package/letter drop off.
Only thing I wish they had was a spot or bin to quickly drop a package off if you don’t need a receipt when the staff is busy. The line here does backup sometimes as there are only two checkout points at the counter, so if you have a package that won’t fit into the quick post boxes, you may have to wait for a bit to drop off a box that won’t fit into the small slots on the wall.
Lobby is always clean and well maintained. Good amount of PO boxes in this location, but the availability of them is unknown to me.
Overall, a nice and convenient post office for those in need!”
“I don’t know about the customer service here, but the place is clean. Looks like it has everything like the normal USPS stores do. Parking can be difficult. Might be only street parking. Not sure if the parking lot adjacent to the store is for USPS parking and it has signs that unauthorized cars will be towed day and night. The hours are printed large on the door.”
“I went into today (Jan 31st) and I had the young lady help me fix an issue with a package being shipped to me. She was wonderful. Give her a raise. I was dressed in all brown while on the clock.”
“Susan is one of the nicest employees here and was really helpful. I am so used to not having good experiences with customer service so this was really refreshing.”

“I've had good experiences here, always been treated with respect over the years by all employees. I just time my trips between their required breaks or lunch, and everything has been chill. The wait is usually only a couple of minutes for service.”
“Bekka and the other gentleman at the front desk (Rafael I believe) are extremely helpful! It took multiple attempts, but they didn’t give up and worked together to find a piece of mail that had been redirected somehow. Great customer service!”

“Lovely employees with stellar customer service. Every one of them I've interacted with has been prompt, polite, and helpful. They go out of their way to make your shipping options or solutions easy to understand. The retail-front is well-stocked and organized.
It does get busy, especially around the holiday season. More often than not there is a long line. If you need service up at the counter, set aside a good chunk of time. Otherwise the rest of the facility is open for self-service. Give the employees some grace in busy times.”
