“The Community Thrift Store is an amazing store. It’s roomy, clean, and has a great staff, as well as community volunteers that keep all the merchandise organized. They offer a wide selection of items for reasonable prices, and they have daily sales. I bought a small fan today, and it was 25% off. I found a pajama t-shirt on the $1 rack that says “Make Today Amazing.” I found an original painting that I love. One never knows what you might find when you stop to shop. They have a great book selection, toys, clothes, shoes, jewelry, a Christmas Shop (year round), housewares, art, DVDs, and CDs. South Whidbey has some great thrift stores and they all support great causes. Proceeds from the Community Thrift Store support Island County Senior Resources.”

“What a fun way to shop! These are large bins full of unorganized merchandise, so be sure to set your expectation right. You'll need a few things for an enjoyable experience.
1. Time - Don't expect to walk in and find exactly what you're looking for right away.
2. Patience - The parking in this particular location can be tight at times and the store can be crowed with shoppers going nuts through the bins.
3. Gloves and a mask are advisable, especially if your sensitive to smells. I personally didn't smell anything.
4. To go home with A LOT MORE FANTASTIC FINDS than you originally planned.
