Our room was dark, dingy, and outdated. Absolutely nothing like what was pictured on the website. No thought was put into the layout or amenities. Broken screen door, not enough outlets, nothing modern, loud bathroom fan, weird sink layout, no towel racks or hooks to hang up wet towels in the bathroom, and no housekeeping. Oh and there’s a sign saying that steam from the shower will set off the fire alarm in the entire building?? That seems like an issue. No charm either. At least when you stay at an older property at the beach it often has some beachy charm to it but nothing here. Elevator was scary and had no evidence of recent inspection or maintenance. Wires hanging from ceiling along the outer hallways. Old tired-looking property. Not the comfy or cozy resort as advertised. Breakfast was ok - like what you’d get at best western.

Booked the hotel online for one price and when I got there to check in they gave me a different price. I said something to them and they told me it was a resort fee. If you are going to have a resort fee maybe add that into your online reservation so your guests are not surprised by it.

The shower was horrible because the tub diverter wasn't working properly, the carpet was disgusting, the TV was on its last leg, and the toilet was so low to the floor. We left after 1 night.

A good choice to stay at night after visiting Olympic National Park, in our 101 road trip started from Seattle in August 2025.
The hotel is quiet and safe with excellent dunes behind its courtyard. Running through the dunes to the Pacific Ocean beach in the morning was one of the best experiences, which will never be forgotten.

Great place to stay when visiting the Long Beach peninsula..AND it's dog friendly! Only issue last visit was the lack of screen for our sliding door.

Check-in was a breeze and the fresh-baked cookies in the lobby were a hit with the kids—such a sweet welcome! The room we stayed in was on the smaller side and definitely a bit outdated. The decor was very minimal, mostly plain white walls with a few mismatched photos that felt a little out of place. Beds weren’t the most comfortable, and one of the biggest drawbacks was the lack of air conditioning. Being so close to the beach, the room got quite muggy.
The bathroom had excellent water pressure—maybe even a bit too strong—and no vent, which made it very steamy after showers. There was even a note warning us to keep the bathroom door closed to avoid setting off the fire alarm due to steam buildup!
The free breakfast was okay. The hotel promotes it as the “best breakfast in Long Beach,” which made us wonder what the other hotels are offering. There were good options like cereal, bagels, sausage, oatmeal, a cheesy egg dish, and biscuits and gravy. It was all basic, simple food—nothing over the top. It would have been nice to see some variety, especially for guests staying multiple days. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, or bacon would really elevate the experience, or even just rotating the options from day to day.
On the plus side, the pool, hot tub, and sauna were all very nice and clean. The kids especially loved spending time in the pool. Everything in the common areas seemed well-maintained and in good working order. Checkout was just as smooth as check-in.
Overall, we had a good stay and would return again. A few updates—especially adding AC in the rooms—would make a big difference, but they wouldn’t keep us from coming back.

I've been a regular visitor to Long Beach for many years and this was my first time at your establishment. The room was very clean and well kept. A huge plus was the breakfast buffet. Most places don't offer such a selection of food. Another huge plus was the outdoor lounge area with the gas fireplaces. Looking forward to my next visit.

Nice place, big room. No AC but opening the door and turning on the fan did the trick. Service was top drawer.
