If you have to use a private storage, I recommend these guys first. Well kept space, prgeasional service, competitive pricing, central location, and you can rent a truck from the Shell station out front to make pickup and drop-off a snap.

I've been renting a unit there for over 15 years Ive never have problems there. The outside is secured and clean. When I do go to my unit it the same way I left it Nothing is wet or rodents in the unit. The door is hard to roll down but I managed to get it all the way down not leaving a gap on the bottom
