“I'd like to comment on the positive service I received from Micky and Luis at the Normandy Park location earlier this week.
I visited the showroom looking for a composite decking material that would accent some other areas on my property but wasn't sure which color/brand/style to go with. First Micky showed me the selection of products that were in stock and went over the differences between the textures and installation methods. We went through about 12-15 different ones to find the right accent material that would go with my design idea.
Once we landed on the product she gave me the ticket and Juan came out to take care of my order. He confirmed the material before cutting the 20' sticks into 10' sections to be easier to transport.
The whole transaction was smooth and a nice interaction from the customer service pros at Dunn Lumber.

“This shop has a lot of great inventory, and I really appreciate their mission around salvaging and reusing items. That said, my experience as a shopper could have been better. I felt more like an interruption than a customer while interacting with staff.
The person at the front desk seemed more engaged in a personal conversation about her dog's breed with someone who seemed more like a friend than a shopper, and when she directed me to a more knowledgeable staff member for more detailed questions, the interaction still felt unwelcoming. The counter area was cluttered, hard for me to stand at given the unnecessary obstacles at your feet, and overall it didn’t feel like there was much pride in customer service or presentation of the POS space. I guess I get it if they want to be a basic salvage store, but I think there is more opportunity here to be better.
I did ultimately find what I needed, so if customer experience is not a high priority for you, this shop will likely meet your needs. I plan to return, but I’ll probably do more independent research ahead of time so I don’t need to rely on staff for guidance.”
“Best wood selection and prices around. You can find the sizes you need of most lumber. I really wish they had some hours on weekends, I would buy much more often if that was possible.”
“We buy most of our tile installation materials from Master Wholesale unless we need something on the fly, they happen to be out or not carry something specific we are needing. All staff members we’ve ever engaged with are always helpful. We always get fair pricing and they will price match our other suppliers if there is something we find cheaper. Highly recommend for tile installation materials and tools.”
“I took a Joinery Fundamentals class at Rockler this past Wednesday and learned so much! Duncan did a great job of explaining the why behind each step of our build (a small box with a divider), he thoughftully answered all my questions, he gave bonus insight on squaring lumber in preparation for a project, and he even recommended a few woodworking books! He let me know he's hoping to lead a woodmilling class in the future—I'll definitely be keeping an eye out, as I'd love to attend! I highly recommend classes at Rockler to anyone looking to get started woodworking, as this experience was very approachable for a beginner like myself.”

“Needed to pick up some tools for a quick project and did my research online the night before. Showed up to the site (didnt even know there was a more local spot) right at open and watched (who I assume the manager on 11/12 unlock the door right on time. Got in an out as the first customer and chatted with the friendly manager about how I didnt even realize maps was taking me to a closer spot and she said THEYVE BEEN OPEN FOR TWO YEARS ALREADY.

“I love McLendon hardware. They always do a great job. They always have what you need and they are actually in a pretty decent part of town. Some of the road work is kind of awkward around the business but once you get inside their parking lot, it's pretty smooth sailing.
The people there are very nice and they are very informative about what you are looking for. I recently bought a Kershaw knife from them and it is very high quality. They have a great spectrum of quality products so that way if you can only afford a little bit they still have it for you. If you can afford a lot then they have a high quality options as well. It's great. You can get exactly what you are looking for without having to worry about being priced out.
And if I remember right, I think they can actually order things for you as well and you can pick it up at the store.
And they are also right next to restaurants too.”

“These folks are awesome. I’m in the pipe trades and have been using this small business for years. Always perfect orders every damn time! Whatever gasket or bolt you need they’ve got or can get quickly. They’ve got all the gaskets and provide them for most of the bigger suppliers. Just recently, I had them make me a custom sink gasket as seen in the photo below and I couldn’t be happier. Primo Job. I’ll come back again and again!!!”

They were able to order the specific grill and model that I wanted to get. The grill arrived in one week which was way faster than I thought it would be. Bob called me every step of the way and also made sure that my boyfriend and I were confident in our purchase. Upon picking up the grill, we realized that our car was a little too small. No problems there because a gentleman named Kenny at Mclendons offered to deliver the grill for us the same evening. We paid for the delivery which I also thought was very reasonable.
