“Locals still affectionately refer to this place as 'the Rhino'. They usually start selling hot food at around 11:00 AM, with choices for fried rice, lo mien, General Tso's chicken, and sweet-and-sour chicken, along with egg rolls. They offer a small and a large meal deal, where you get one type of chicken and then either rice or noodles. Very nicely priced for the amount they give, too. In my personal opinion, the fried rice, egg rolls, and Tso's chicken are their best offerings. That isn't to say the lo mien and sweet 'n sour chicken is bad, but those two dishes don't do well under a heat lamp in my opinion. If you go later in the day, you might get there in time to buy some of the leftover hot food for a cheaper price, which is always nice. Otherwise, its a nice little store, and pickings for snacks and drinks are fair compared to other convenience stores. The parking situation is a bit rough, but where in Ocean Shores isn't it?”

The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.
