I booked through Priceline. Avis called me the morning of scheduled pick up and cancelled my reservation. Priceline refused to refund insurance I paid for through them. Avis was very insincere in the message they left on my voice mail. Avis and Budget and Priceline have lost me as a customer.

I used to loved renting from this location, however the new owners have proven to be inflexible and very quick to charge extra fees. I of course understand contractual agreements, but they did not offer any semblance of understanding for unforeseen circumstances. I have never been charged fees like this at any other rental location.

When returning from a trip to Boston I realized I was charged an incorrect amount. Upon arriving back to Washington I went to the Lacey office to get assistance. Lauren was very kind and explained the charges and gave me instructions on how to resolve the issue. Unfortunately she couldn't fix the problem but offered excellent customer service who to contact,etc.

We lost a valuable item in the vehicle. We couldn’t find it so told them when we returned it. An hour later we got a call that it had been found while vacuuming. We were so thankful for their extra efforts to find it.

This location was great to deal with as our hotel was around the corner. Tyler went above and beyond to address our concerns and we were easily on our way to enjoying our road trip through the National Parks.

Worst car rental experience I've ever had in my entire life. Beware, this location will ask you for your social security number and run a credit check.I have rented a lot of cars in my life and never been asked for that. Went down the road to Enterprise and no issues whatsoever.

I wouldn't suggest renting here. Have rented a few times now with issues each time. Will be going to enterprise from here on out. Feel ripped off. I rented a car for 2 days at $107 which was great untill I needed to extend it a couple times cause my truck that's in the shop wasn't done. So with the initial charge of $107 for 2 days and now the 3 additional days I extended it, its a $400 bill. That math isn't adding up. I was told $50 a day which was what the first two days at $107 were with taxes, now I'm being told the rate was upped to $79 a day when I called in to extend it but was not told that at the time I extended it. With my truck still being in the shop I had to extend it again but I stopped by in person to make sure I was clear on the charges for the extension. Got the vehicle for 7 days now at $283 vs the 5 days I had it and was charged $400. Rip off!

Was a horrible experience. After waiting an hour and half behind only 5 people, they proceeded to give me the wrong car twice, making me go back in to wait for help. Never again, ain't worth saving the measly money

Their per mile charge is significantly lower than U-Haul but that .50 cents per mile isn't worth having to deal with whoever the gentleman is that works Sunday. Booked online and was never prompted to provide detailed insurance policy info. Had my insurance but not my coverage levels or weight limitations. Wouldn't let me rent without it and tried to charge an additional $68 for their insurance (little scammy). Asked why this wasnt included online and he said he didn't develop the website. Cancelled the reservation and went to U-Haul.
Edit: The employee never canceled the reservation so was hit with a $150 no show/no cancel fee. Budget customer service reimbursed but I would avoid this location at all costs.

I usually don’t have trouble with Avis, so it’s unfortunate this branch has to drag my review down. Both times I went in, the attendant behind the desk was gone with a handwritten note on the door. We had to wait outside until he/she was done with their personal business. The car they gave me had loud mechanical issues coming from the rear end, was covered in dog hair inside, and was badly washed. The exchange went ok

Absolute worst experience with renting a car. I reserved a car a few weeks ago, when I came to return it as scheduled, they had a hand written note posted on the front door stating they closed early that day without giving me any notice. Not a call or an email or anything. I was frustrated and called customer service. After about an hour on hold someone finally answered. They advised me to return the car the next when and they would not charge me for the extra day. Well of course this location remained closed for the next few days and customer service’s only solution was to take the car to another location well out of my own city, without any way of getting home. Customer service eventually told me they would not charge me still for any extra days, but to return the car as soon as I can. I tried every day that week to return the car, but could not until several days later. When I finally was able to return the car, the person behind the counter claimed to have no notes of the customer service calls I made all week, they would not help me at all. I called customer service yet again, was told that they would take care of the huge extra charge, and that I can call back if there’s any problems. They never refunded my account, and when I spoke to customer service YET AGAIN, they also told me they had no notes of my calls now. They also refused to listen to the recorded calls that I even provided reference numbers for. I’ve been charged for someone completely out of my control and no one seems to care one bit. This is the worst experience I’ve had renting a car, and I will never use this company again. The local franchise in Lacey is so disorganized and the people they employ are clearly less than interested in actually doing their jobs. I’ve worked in customer service for years, I hesitate to ever leave a review like this, but this was completely unacceptable. I’m so disappointed in the lack of customer support offered, frankly I’m disappointed by the lack of service from every single person involved. I will make sure all my coworkers and friends know to never use Avis ever again. Do better.
